Kolin Lotus Cottages

Great facilities and location. Really helpful staff

Clean and well equipped, great for families, but not for people looking for privacy.

The view was very disappointing (terraces of other properties and a children’s play area) and there was no privacy outside. We were located directly opposite a children’s play area, which thankfully wasn’t used or we would have left immediately. We would go to Koli, but not stay here due to this risk.

The cottage was clean, well kept, and in a great location! Having linens and cleaning included also made the stay a great value and staff was all super friendly, informative, and responsive! Cottage also had everything you'd need, plus some for a long or short stay: sauna, well stocked kitchen, washer, drying cabinet, and woodstove. The view out the front into the snowy woods was lovely and made for quiet, serene mornings and evenings! Outside, were two BBQ huts and a large shed for firewood! A little ways away, a dock on the lakeside!

Not deal breakers or dislikes, but things to note: It would have been awesome to have a bit clearer written/picture instructions on some things, like the sauna and woodstove, but again, not a big deal and the staff was absolutely lovely in explaining everything! Also of note, the cottages are like duplexes and kind of close together; however, it was super quiet and in the winter, we spent most of our time out hiking or inside anyways! A few floors are heated, but not all, bring socks or slippers for winter visits!

Its distance to the ski slopes. Despite all the downsides, the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. He also recommended attractions to visit in the area.

The property wasn’t clean. We found medical trash in the bed. Many corners and under furniture had dust piled up. The bathroom, toilet, and the entrance were freezing cold when we arrived and until the caretaker came to fix them.
