About this apartment rental
This bright and beautiful apartment is located on the Etruscan coast in the small hamlet "La Mazzanta". It is only 4 km from the popular coastal towns of Marina di Cecina and Vada, 15 km from the charming villages of Casale Marittimo and Montescudaio, 20 km from Bolgheri and its good wines, 45 km from the alabaster town of Volterra, and 55 from Pisa.
The beaches in La Mazzanta are beautiful, just 100 meters from the apartment. It can be reached on foot through a beautiful pine grove that provides shade all day after sunbathing.
The apartment is a large apartment on the first floor of a villa, with a separate entrance and parking space, and a wonderful wisteria pergola perfect for outdoor dining. Entrance to the apartment is directly in the living room. The living room is very spacious, with large arched windows, TV, fireplace, sofa, dining area and kitchenette (with oven, refrigerator, toaster, coffee machine). To the left of the entrance there are two bedrooms and a bathroom with an open shower. An additional single bed for a 6th person is available. Hairdryer. A spiral staircase leads from the living room to a solarium on the roof, perfect for relaxing or having breakfast. On the ground floor, under the pergola, there is a room with a washing machine, sink and toilet.
No heating available.
Grocery shops and restaurants can be found within 120 meters.
The price includes gas, electricity, water, final cleaning, bed linen and towels.

It's a lovely spacious appartment close to the wonderful beach (nice combination of sand and small pebbles). A walk from the house to the beach is through an old pine forest, which is gorgeous in any weather but is superb on a hot summer day.
A walking distance proximity to a number of attractions for both children and adults is a plus.
There was some noise from the nearby holiday complex in the evening.
Stingy jellyfish were the major challenge during our stay. Never come across them before but during that particular period in August they were a real problem. Swimming and playing games in the sea was really dangerous.

The apartment is very spacious with a lovely roof terrace. The location is great for beach holidays and there is the possibility to rinse down sea water from any beach equipment outside when returning to the apartment.
During the summer there are a lot of night time activities e.g. a luna park within walking distance.
The cleaning was not done properly, we had to buy cleaning supplies and clean both baths and the kitchen. Most things in the flat are quite worn and our bed sheets had stains and holes in them.
Also the shower in the upstairs bathroom is near unacceptable. There is a very strong smell from the shower drain with attracts drain flies. Showering will wet the floor of most of the bathroom as there is no shower tray or cabine. After someone showered all others will get their feet wet. Also the shower didn't drain water when we first wanted to use it. We could solve that with a provided plunger. And the waterpump broke during our stay leaving us with limited and later no water supply.
Fortunately Giuseppe was always quick to respond and did his best to get the pump fixed once it completely broke down.
Due to the overall condition of the flat and the bad cleaning I can not recommend it.
