About this house rental
Relax and enjoy nature in our home with a light and airy coastal feel in every room. Get away from the sights and sounds of traffic and city chaos in our private, secluded cul-de-sac location. Take a peek at the water through the trees from our private, second floor deck. Listen to the song birds, ducks, toads and frogs all flourishing in the undeveloped lots surrounding our property.
A short walk away - Historic Downtown & Island Creamery
Recently upgraded entire HVAC system, which now includes both a Carrier electronic air purifier and a Remi Halo LED purifier to further protect our guests’ health while also ensuring their comfort in the home.
Pack-n-Play (portable crib) and high chair available for your convenience.
Kitchen is fully stocked with stoneware dinnerware, dishwasher, and four burner dual oven stove, as well as a fully stocked spice cabinet. Additionally, there is a large outdoor gas grill with side burner.
Beach chairs, skim board, body boards, beach buckets and shovels are all kept in the backyard shed for everyone's beach days.
For those that have forgotten a bill before rushing out the door on vacation, or those remembering an urgent eBay auction ending during vacation, a computer and wifi are provided as well.
Check-In after 4PM.
Check-Out before 10AM.
Peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), minimum stay is 7 nights.
Off season minimum stay is 2 nights.

We met halfway between our homes in Lititz, PA and Nags Head, NC to have a girls' weekend. It did not disappoint! We spent most of our time on the wonderful screen porch. We were pleased write all the kitchen equipment, books, games, etc!

This was the home base while in area hunting. It was great to come "home" to a clean, cozy, equipped facility for dinner and a restful sleep.

Adorable cottage in a newer charming development. Coastal forest surrounded the home on a quiet end of short drive. Well equipped and welcoming.

We enjoyed the house, but thought it a bit expensive for the size. That said, everything there was high-quality and well-maintained.
On the day of checkout, we were running late. At ten minutes past checkout time there was a very loud, aggressive knock on the door. The woman at the door was livid that we were checking out late, very angry. I explained we'd run into trouble (my husband was sick) and I was sorry, and that she could charge me the extra fee for leaving late.
All I got back was more anger and "rules are rules". We rushed to get out, forgot some things, and even my kids were upset by the interaction.
I get that they have a lot of houses to clean but that is not how you treat someone who just shelled out THOUSANDS of dollars to stay there. We will not be renting from you again. This is our sixth year at Chincoteague and I've never experienced anything like that.
Work on your customer service skills, even when you're angry. We all get frustrated sometimes, but things happen that are outside of people's control.
