Went to Santander, Spain for the eclipse. Although I wasn’t in a north facing room, the staff opened up use of the roof terrace for all. Super view across the bay. Also very helpful with storage for the bike and general help with local facilities. Although out of the city centre, convenient for a good local trattoria and a large supermarket serving hot food.
