The position of the hotel overlooks the whole bay which is wonderful! Clean and tidy with all the facilities you need for your stay.

The room was spotlessly clean and maintained well. Beds were comfy and linen was fresh. We used the pool facilities and whilst this is small it served a purpose and gave us an hour or so with children. Again, well maintained and spotless.

Could do with an extra/larger sofa. The 2 seater was only small and there was 4 of us. Side chairs weren’t really adequate for the other 2 guests. That said we weren’t in the room for long at all. Fab view of the sea and in a nicer part of Scarborough. Seagulls waking us up very early is an issue but this is nothing to do with the hotel

Keys for the apartment were to be collected from the hotel next door to the apartment ,the hotel door was locked with signs saying "closed to the public "...not a good start.We rang the door bell which was eventually answered by an oriental lady with little understanding of English,we did gain access and was greeted by an unmanned reception, the manager,we think,did eventually come to see us,we knew we were to early to get into the apartment and just required a parking permit, we we obtained, I asked why the door was locked and closed to the public,he told me the hotel had been closed to the public for two years,as it was being used to accommodate Polish men working on a mining project in Whitby . I'd received an email from you guys the before we travelled informing me that the pool was closed for essential maintenance, but the dog eared signs showing in the reception area seemed to me the pool had been closed for some time,other signs in reception stated "anglo/americans in this bar/area" and signs written in a foreign language. I later established from a lady who lived in Scarborough that the hotel was also housing homeless people,which as we witnessed during our stay saw very unfortunate, obviously homeless people coming and going
