The property manager was somewhat unhelpful.
The vacation rental was very clean.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.

There were a lot of things I loved about the place: kayaks, the pool and having a dock. And although a few miles from the beach this could have been perfect except either management and/or owner just neglected to handle basic business. Grill had not been properly cleaned below and the grease buildup resulted in a serious grill fire. Thankfully I was able to extinguish it. Mgmt came out and cleaned it the next day. Found out later that same night the dishwasher and icemaker did not work. Icemaker was never fixed despite repeated promises. Fortunately, there was an outdoor icemaker. It took from Tues until Sat before dishwasher was replaced. Totally unacceptable. Also internet service and xfinity cable was horribly inconsistent. I assume that was normal. So make sure you have an unlimited data plan on your phone. A few outdoor chairs had rusted legs and should be replaced. I get managing expenses, but it should never get this bad. Someone should have checked this stuff before a guest arrives, and not waited for a guest to self-report. It is a shame I really liked the house overall, and would recommend it provided the stuff gets fixed. Property Mgmt was nice and responsive but no real sense of urgency.
