About this house rental
Whole accomodation in the house of Cal Calaf. You access through the modernist façade towards the entrance hall and from there you have access to the private and exclusive private garden. With a comfortable fountain, table and seats, you can sunbathe, make a barbecue, read... Ideal for your children and for your animals, that can play out of danger. Going upstairs you enter to the living room, where there is a fireplace and a library with books to read on the edge of the fire, in an incomparable setting with stone arches of centuries of history. Then, the kitchen, very nice and practical, with dishwasher. Going up the spiral stairs we reach the full bathroom, of old style, located next to the room, with a very comfortable Elizabethan bed, desk, two large closets and the balcony, with views to the interior garden. The whole accommodation has free Wi-Fi and heating. You can park next to the house.
Cal Calaf is an ancestral home built in the 12th century with arches from the transition from Romanesque to Gothic. Both the structure, the decoration and furniture of the building are full of history.
We are located in the square of the small town of Vilardida, of 8 inhabitants, in the valley of the Gaià river. Silence, tranquility and exclusivity.
Cal Calaf is the house where time stops, where life passes calmly between the Romanesque arches of the 12th century, which still remain intact today.
Wrapped in a modernist façade included in the Catalan heritage inventory, this home provides comfort and coziness, where the song of the swallows that rest in the garden vanish away.
Here you can try to make the calçotada that you have been waiting so long for, or you can turn on the fireplace in the living room and enjoy the book that you always wanted to start reading.
On sunny days you can get lost in the Mediterranean forests until you reach the Gaià River, which is characterized by the calm but flowing course of its waters, wrapped in vegetation and fauna.
We know that these walks are always more enjoyable with our pets, and that's why they are also welcome to Cal Calaf.
Within the Cistercian Route and a few kilometers away from Roman Tarraco, there is a wide range of noteworthy cultural and leisure options to enjoy, such as the Jujol Modernist hermitages in Montferri and Vistabella, the route of the wine cathedrals, also modernist, or Valls, the Cradle City of the Human Towers and Calçots.
On the other hand, the most prized bays of Costa Daurada are just minutes away from home, and our surroundings offer the possibility to do equestrian activities and hiking as well.
We are 30 minutes from Aquum Spa, Port Aventura and Ferrari Land, and forty-five minutes from Barcelona.

El espacio de Helena es absolutamente increíble. Cal Calaf está dentro de las hermosas colinas de Cataluña y muy cerca del mar de Tarragona. Es un poco difícil para encontrar, pero Helena nos ayudó mucho. El jardín de Cal Calaf era mi parte favorito y es un lugar perfecto para una escapada. Adentro la casa estaba limpia y cómoda. Helena era una anfitriona maravillosa y no olvidaremos Cal Calaf nunca.

Nuestra experiencia en Cal Calaf ha sido inmejorable en todos los sentidos.
En principio tras buscar muchos lugares en la red, en busca de tranquilidad y lugar para abstraerse (lugar y casa), encontré fotografías de esta preciosa casa, que parecía ofrecer todo aquello que buscábamos, con lo cual la reservé.
En primer lugar, decir que su anfitriona, la señora Helena, es una persona encantadora, a la llegada nos explicó todo lo necesario, y nos entregó las llaves. En todo momento sentimos una absoluta privacidad, no se oía absolutamente nada. La casa con su magnífico patio, muy bonito sin duda, nos ofreció un oasis absoluto de paz y tranquilidad, además fuimos con nuestra mascota, pues son aceptados en la casa.
Una vez dentro, decir que el gusto con que está decorada, los materiales, y la disposición de los espacios, son sencillamente exquisitos. Notamos que todo estaba cuidadosamente pensado desde los detalles, por cierto, muy refinados.
Nos encantó el respeto por la construcción antigua de la casa, en donde nos pareció estar viviendo en otra época. Super conseguido!
La comodidad que nos ofreció el mobiliario es fantástica, entre ellas, la cama, en dónde el confort por su amplitud, colchón y ropa, es máximo, además la decoración incita al descanso, y su pequeño balcón que da al patio, crea una atmósfera de romanticismo que nunca está de más. En sí toda la casa está envuelta de esa atmósfera.
Espacios muy limpios, incluso me atrevo a decir que mágicos, sólo hay que ver las fotografías, aunque "en persona" la casa incluso llega a ganar, si ello es posible.
A la salida nos despedimos de Helena, su anfitriona, auténtica persona, con la que compartimos antes de marchar una pequeña y agradable charla.
Sin duda la casa es un 10 absoluto, miré mucho antes de elegir, y ahora que ya estamos de vuelta decir que nos ha dejado más que un grato recuerdo, sin duda volveremos a ella.
Le damos las gracias a Helena por la más que grata estancia pasada en esta bella casa de su propiedad.
