Štinjan apartmani Elda

We stayed at this accommodation for a little over a week, so we had a good chance to get to know the place. I thought I had booked a pet-friendly place, but upon arrival, I realized I had made a mistake — pets were actually not allowed. Luckily, the owner was very accommodating and allowed us to stay with our dog. There is a large yard, fully enclosed with a fence, so it's safe to park your car and also perfect for a dog to run around. In the yard, there is the main house where the owners live — they are incredibly kind people — and then there is an outbuilding. The outbuilding is designed with two separate rooms available for rent. At the moment, the listing contains some confusing information. Two different accommodation options are offered, but for example, under “apartment on the ground floor,” there is a picture of the kitchen from one room and a bedroom from another. The other “apartment” is listed as 75 square meters and seems to suggest there’s both a living room and a bedroom, but in reality, it is not that large and there aren’t two separate rooms. When we made our booking, we thought we had booked a two-room apartment, but such a setup doesn't actually exist there. The combined area of the two different apartments might be 75 square meters. Also, the listing contains pictures from both apartments under one ad. Hopefully, this will be corrected soon. Anyway, we stayed in a room where the living room and bedroom were combined into one space (there were sleeping places for three people), and there was also a kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen had air conditioning. It was equipped with everything needed for cooking — pots, pans, knives, forks, plates, glasses, a stovetop (no oven), and a sandwich grill. We also visited the other accommodation where our neighbors were staying — it was a bit smaller (sleeps two) but had a stovetop with an oven and also a fireplace. The listing doesn't mention it, but there is also a laundry service.

The most beautiful and homey apartment we’ve ever stayed in! Our hosts Elda and her husband and her son were exceptional, made us feel so at home! The family helped us to have a bbq by lending theirs to us and letting us use their coal and firelighters. Elda even picked us some rosemary from their garden to infuse with olive oil which was so delicious. Cold beer and water in the fridge upon arrival and some wafer biscuits, the whole family went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable. Whole apartment was spotlessly clean, mosquito coils and bug spray for us to use too, and Elda lent us sleeping mats for the rocky beaches. Me and my partner felt like this was a home away from home, and would not hesitate to come back. I wish this family all the best and can’t wait to meet them again!
