Beautiful Victorian Carriage House w/ Prvt Beach.

Check in was simple; host was very responsive. Overall we had a wonderful experience!

Great place in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Jude was very responsive before snd during our stay. The beach was very close, and walking to local restaurants and stores only took 5 to 10 minutes. Would recommend this house!

Place was great. Very quiet and short walk to beach.

Overall pleasant stay in Onset. Arrived during a heat wave so the one window A/C unit left the downstairs apartment 80-82 degrees the first 2-3 days. Jude could offer no help with that, so I had no choice but to purchase my own box fan just to cool the bedroom area down enough to sleep. Once the weather cooled down to the 80's the apartment was much more comfortable. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 with a "trundle bed" which was just a stained mattress on the floor under the full bed. The furniture in the room had to be completely rearranged in order to fit the mattress next to the bed. I was glad I brought all of my own linens because there were short black hairs all over the sheets and floor of that bedroom so I had to sweep the entire house of hair and sand before moving anything in. I have stayed in beach rentals in NJ my entire life and never had to clean so much hair, sand and crumbs off counters as I did with this property. Now with that said the house is clean. There is no major issues with cleanliness - it just seemed as though the house keeper skipped wiping the kitchen counters down and sweeping before she/he left. The toilets and shower were cleaned well and the apartment was in nice condition. The couch was very comfortable as well and it was nice having access to both cable and Netflix. There was also Wi-Fi that worked well on 4 iPhones. The neighborhood was nicer by the water then it was at the downtown square. I felt safe, it was just more run down and empty then the Onset website led on. The beach was nice. Water clean. Very short walk. The picture of the water with the fire pit is misleading because that is the neighbor in front's yard. There is a nice deck and patio set to sit on out back and my daughter loved the outside flower shower. The grill was of good quality. We spent most of our week traveling to different beaches and different parts of the cape. If you are planning to see the entire cape during your week I would suggest staying on the cape itself a few towns in to cut down on driving during your stay. We were 1.5 hours away from Provincetown so most days we were driving anywhere from 30-90 minutes one way to get somewhere on the cape. Just a tip for someone from out of the area like myself. The house is close to the canal which was beautiful and had a lot of activities in itself and the drive to Boston wasn't bad, about 1.5-2 hours depending, Overall, we enjoyed our stay on the bottom apartment of the carriage house.
