This was our second visit here. It is a magic spot, and perfect for our grandkids who had a ball, but I can no longer overlook the filth. It operates on a “clean it yourself” basis, and unfortunately that means that only the very basics are cleaned- and maybe not even those. This time the kitchen bins had lumps of mould in the bottoms, the main rug was putrid, dust was caked on everywhere, there were months of debris behind the couches and under beds,and a well fed mouse was running around.
We removed a lot of the grime, but didn’t want to spend our whole time there (with three grandchildren in tow) cleaning, so a lot remains undone.
If you are going (and it is a beautiful spot), also be aware that the only shower that works properly is the ensuite (which is a great shower).
A lot of maintenance needs to be done as well.
Apparently the TV doesn’t work (according to my grandson), but I didn’t try it myself.
It is generously provisioned otherwise, albeit haphazardly, and in dirty drawers and a smelly cupboard.
I’ve given it 3 stars nonetheless as it has wonderful potential, despite being a health hazard.
