La Casona

Overall, the room was great; if you want a home-feel, you'll like this place. It's a place where you can feel that you're not bothered/watched by the staff _at all_ and where you can feel like you have a great deal of privacy. The wi-fi is the best I've had in my three months of travel in South America. The bed is comfortable. The staff was super nice, probably the nicest people I've met so far. I was way later than the time I indicated that I'd be there, and they made the effort to still wait for my arrival (that was my fault; I didn't understand how this hostel was run). I definitely recommend this to solo travelers and couples.

It's a real basic place but has everything you need, kitchen, place to dry your clothes (outside), airconditioning and for the price it can't be beat. Juliana and her mom picked me up from the busstation! Her mom also drove me to the trainstation when I went to Encarnacion (standard price is 200 Pesos which I thought was very decent). I stayed for an extra night so I could go and visit the San Ignacio and Santa Ana ruïns. It was no problem.

Bathroom could be cleaner.

It’s a very cute house and has a good location for exploring Posadas. The new owner is very nice and very communicative. She offers to pick you up for 400 pesos, which is good value if you carry a lot of luggage.

It states in the description that it is a homestay, which it is not. We expected something different from the description and the comments. The place was dirty and warn down ( the toilet flushes only if you hold the botton in a certain position). The utensils in the kitchen were dirty. But with a good clean up and a little fixing this place would be a charming place to stay and has a lot of potential. I understand that there has been a change in owner a couple of months ago, I suggest to communicate this to future guests so that we know that the description and previous comments are not relevant.
