About this cabin rental
Tree house for rent 1 bedroom 1 bathroom , located a mile from the sacandoga lake . The house sits back on the yard the main house is not include . Lots activity , like boating , kayaking , bike, hiking . Lake is very close by and lots hiking trais . We have the main road out front its not tatally out in the woods ,35 miles from Saratoga springs .....................................................................................

The tree house was amazing! The gardens and ponds are spectacular. We were there at the end of the growing season, and the property was still so cool and beautiful! I would definitely stay again.

The tree house is a very special property!It is cozy, clean, comfortable and creative!!The grounds are a true botanical masterpiece!!!The Hosts are friendly, pleasant, and never at all intrusive. This place is a gem. NOTE: It is not accessible for any individuals without full mobility. We would rather LIVE here than VISIT!!

I was hesitant to book this property because at the time my father was not doing so well health-wise and I was fearful that he would end up in the hospital again due to chronic health issues he's been struggling with for years.
Well, the first day was wonderful. We arrived, embarrassed ourselves by not knowing how to check in (sorry about that), hauled all of our stuff (I've never been one to pack light, lord help my partner) to the treehouse, and got settled in.
The first thing we noticed was how amazingly cool it was in the treehouse itself. It was a hot, sunny day and to be honest I was kind of expecting a sauna situation inside. The space smelled bright and fresh which is SO important for relaxation. Everything was super clean. Normally I bring cleaning products along with me, but everything was provided and I didn't feel the need tp pre-emptively clean anything but the high touch areas.
I was worried about the bed because my partner and I normally don't share a bed and we are both pretty large. I cannot confirm size, but it was plenty roomy for two big bodies to sleep comfortably together for two nights. Super comfy and the small a/c unit was nice to have during the night, but wasn't necessary during the day. The shower was tight, but functional.
We REALLY enjoyed the pool and got a lot of sun in on the first day while we had great weather. The next morning I received a troubling phone call from the hospital my dad was in saying he took a turn for the worst and needed to be put on comfort care. We spent the day floating in the pool despite the light rain.
After talking to my partner and my family we collectively decided that it would be best for us to stay and not panic drive hours away to the hospital. My father had actually encouraged us to take this trip, even the very last day I saw him.
The final day of our stay my father passed peacefully in the early morning with family at his side . It hit me like a ton of bricks but also gave me relief knowing he was no longer suffering.
Yes, the birds make noises like the raptors from Jurassic Park at times. But at one point they definitely squawked at the rooster to shut up and that was certainly welcome comic relief.
I've always been the type to be restless at hotels and vacation rentals. This is the one place I've felt truly comfortable. There has been a lot of love, labor, and care put into this property. If you are able to stay, you are in for a treat.
