Nice property and amenities. Great for a large group. Far drive from the entrance and back to Freshfields, community pools, and beach access with parking, but not the property’s fault!

We traveled to Kiawah Island for the first time for a vacation with our extended family - including 5 adults and 4 teens. In its’ glory day, the home would’ve been truly spectacular. Its layout is expansive with plenty of community space for groups, as well as space for a quiet retreat when a subset of the group feels like time alone. Ideal for large families or people traveling with multiple groups, with all the amenities to accommodate a crowd. Incredible view of the beach, and the Ocean Course from the rooftop!
Unfortunately, the home appears to get nonstop rental traffic and everything is in need of a deep cleaning and general, routine upkeep and repair (well beyond what can be done in the six hours between guests checking out/in). The owner was very responsive to any issues we reported throughout the week, although often redirected us to the well-worn Rental Manual left in the kitchen that’s in need of a refresh. It contains a summary of house rules, but any other helpful other information has long since been removed.
Overall, we enjoyed our time in Kiawah and would go back - probably would not rent this home again unless it had been off the market for some TLC, simply given our high expectations relative to the cost of a week’s rental.
