Villa Vista da Rocca di Papa-1 by Interhome

This is an authentic and very well-kept Italian hillside home from an earlier age. It features all the necessary equipment (and more) that you'd need for even a number of families to have a pleasant stay at the location for a week or longer (we were 13 in total with no issues). The kitchen equipment were good and there is no shortage of glasses or plates. (There's also an additional, very atmospheric wooden outside cooking/dining area next to a giant old tree right in the house garden, a must for at least one of the evenings!) The courtyard itself is protected by a gated fence and could easily fit our 3 larger cars. The swimming pool itself is not directly attached to the house, which can actually be convenient if you have little ones, also it can still be accessed even during the night-time (there are plenty of light sources on the way and the view during the evening is splendid!) There is an additional Poolside house (fits 2-3) with AC that was a nice bonus for our younger lovebirds. Each of the three bedrooms on the 2nd floor were of a slightly different theme, I personally enjoyed the access to the terrace going around the house directly (from two of the bedrooms). (We noticed an earlier review about "graphic images with nudity", but if there were any, they had been removed. There were a number of quality paintings on the walls, none offensive.) The owners themselves were super nice and while they are located on a connected property, we had 100% privacy and zero bother of them (we also used WhatsApp to communicate for any questions during our stay). The house is located in a nice area of Rocca di Papa itself, there was plenty of places to eat at or buy groceries from; also the first good restaurand is just a short walking distance (50-100m) from the house, in addition to a local bar, grocery store and more. While the house is easily reachable by car, we also walked to the center and to some other restaurants in the area.

If you are a high-end luxury traveller, this house may require a bit of getting accostumed with (you might describe this home as rustic), but everything works and is clean (for example also the linen were of high quality). Also, not having air conditioning in the rooms was not an issue due to the climate on the mountains being a few celsius less than e.g. in Rome and furthermore, there were plenty of windows (and lockable doors) to allow a lovely mountain breeze in during the nights. (There was an AC in the 3rd floor bedroom.) While there was functioning WiFi, don't expect to find the latest technology otherwise (TVs were a bit small and dated during our visit in 07/2025) - but none of this bothered us, as most of the time we spent at the house playing billiard/pool, sunbathing, eating together, planning next day trips down to Rome and in other activities.

Romantisk villa med fantastisk udsigt ud over Rom. Utrolig imødekommende vært med grundig gennemgang af regler og rundvisning, så vi ikke stod med spørgsmål efterfølgende. Dr blev udvist stor fleksibilitet i forhold til ankomst og afrejsetidspunkt ift. vores flytider. Vært var hjælpsom med kontakt oplysninger til et pålideligt taxa-selskab, da offentlig transport er en udfordring.

Huset er oplyst til at have aircondition, men dette var kun tilfældet i et af værelserne. Villaen egner sig ikke til gangbesværede, da der er mange trapper (også ned til poolen).
