Location, the set up.
Stairs didn’t realise as I booked this with my 70 year old mother.
Called about wifi and no one got back to us. So tv was unwatchable. Could do with bit more of a clean.

Great views, but was very very noisy from around 11pm to 3am each night

The location is as good as it gets - right on the water in Shoal Bay, on the main street.
You have to collect the keys from Nelson Bay - whilst only a few minutes away in the car, it would be easier if there was a lockbox, or they could be collected in Shoal Bay somewhere. Also - free parking is underneath the building, but instructions on how to find the car park are not clear, and whilst the apartment was great, it would be good if things like shower gel and shampoo could be provided.

Was across road from beach and close to restaurants etc.
There was a lot of steps to get to the apartment, it was on the top floor. The steps and access areas could do with a good water blast to remove grime etc that appears to be related to the many restaurants exhaust flues on the property rooftop and adjoining rooftops.
