Even with the language barrier the staff were incredibly nice, amenities were great, view was stunning.
Atami is a bit of a hike, if I was to do it again I would rent a car to navigate through the mountains

The staff were friendly and reception was very helpful. They are able to speak enough English to get important notes for your stay across when checking in, although i tried as much as i could to speak in Japanese to make it easier.
The rooms are nice, and the view from the mountain looking down on the coast makes it worth the stay.
The onsen was just right, and depending on the time you go, you can be the only person there bathing.
The amenities were plentiful, and they were close to the elevator, making for quick access.
First and foremost, make sure to book the shuttle to and from the hotel. It states it on the website, but there wasn't a clear way to do it from Booking's side.
Thankfully, there are local bus lines that run through the hotel, making it possible to go back to the station. You can pay with IC or in cash.
The only other complaint I had was the beds we got for our room were a bit stiff and thin, although some people may like this kind of bed, it didn't give the best sleep for me or my travel partner.
