A dream vacation at the perfect location with all the amenities you could think of. The host reached out to us on our arrival day to let us know we could access the home a little earlier than expected which was a fantastic surprise.We stayed in OBX rentals in the past and had to make our own beds up and didn’t have small things available like soap in the bathrooms. It was such a relaxing experience to arrive at the house where the beds were already made, soap, paper towels and even trash bags and dish detergent were all set out for us so we could start enjoying everything immediately and not feel like we needed to rush out to get things we hadn’t thought about.There were lots of beach towels and even sunscreen - the pool and hot tub were a huge hit with our family. There was one day the weather was chillier but we were still able to enjoy the heated pool and hot tub and didn’t feel like we lost a day due to weather.A pool tech came in the middle of the week and clean out the sand from the pool and hot tub which kept everything clean and fresh for us.We cooked quite a few nights and there were plenty of pots, pans and kitchen ware that made everything so easy. Having two full size fridges was awesome. We were able to use the bikes to go get ice cream and cruise around the area and the location of the house was perfect, without being too busy but also being close enough to lots of great restaurants and stores in case we did need to run out for something.Great house!

The house was very clean, lovely and well decorated, in a great location with plenty of beach chairs, pool chairs, and beach towels. Once the pool was heated up, we enjoyed it as well as the hot tub. Rooms were spacious and kitchen was well supplied with cooking utensils. Enjoyed dinner and game time each night at the large table for eight.

Great location on the beach, pictures are fairly accurate but the experience really was diminished because the owner was traveling internationally and was unreachable by voice. Because of the time difference wherever they were traveling, we did exchange texts hours after the issues we had were observed. The most annoying issues were silverfish on the first floor (owner denied this despite pictures) and intermittent electrical outage on one wall of the third floor (where the internet router is located). The text from the owner indicated it was due to a widespread outage in the area but there were no such outages in the first six days of the rental. A vexing short of some kind was going on and it caused unpredictable connection to the internet. A call to VRBO help line resulted in the reply that the owners were traveling internationally. The owner found out I had called the help line and texted me, questioning me as to why I had called the VRBO "complaint" line. I pointed out I was not complaining, just trying to get help, which never came. Great location, disagreeable host.
