Our family enjoyed Hilltop Haven. The hot tub, fireplace and games are just what we needed to relax. We were able to make our Thanksgiving dinner, enjoy close hiking trails and we even rode the Polar Express train ride.

We just returned from a wonderful long weekend at this newly remodeled cabin and couldn’t be happier with our stay. The moment we walked in, the fresh, modern updates were immediately noticeable. The location is pure magic: tucked away in a quiet, wooded pocket with zero neighbors in sight.Kathy the host was extremely responsive and very helpful!

This place is perfect for families exploring Big South Fork. All the trails were nearby (think 20-30 minutes roads aren't direct). There is are a lot of great evening activities at cabin as well. They even had one of our favorite obscure games, Azul. Plenty of space, very comfy and laundry room is a life-saver for active families. The check in and out was seamless and the owner was very professsional and responsive. When in town, check out Oneida Primitive Barn. Fantastic home cooking and great service.

First of all, the cabin is beautiful. BUT..needs som e TLC. We really appreciated all of the cut wood for the fireplace. We arrived to a very dusty and hairy cabin. I do not believe it had been cleaned prior to our arrival as it should have been. Just me walking across the floors collected the entire bottom of my socks with what looked to be golden retriever dog hairs. The GRILL CAUGHT ON FIRE due to an overwhelming amount of grease in the base of it while I was simply cooking three small hamburgers. Thank GOD we were able to put it out with several pots of water. Because the FIRE extinguisher on the main level have been used prior to our stay and was empty. The fireplace was filled with a load of ash. My husband had to clean it out before we could even start a fire. The last folks that had stayed left it completely full of ash to where it was actually out of the fire place on spilling over the rock ledge to the floor. We only stayed in the bedroom on the main level. But I did have to wash the bedding prior to using it. There were yellow stains all over the blankets and they smelled soiled. We also had to figure out how to use the outside water Spicket, broken, so that we could turn on the water to fill the hot tub as it was very low when we arrived. As to the concern of the cabins maintenance. You do have some gutters that are laying on the ground, ripped screens, Broken water Spicket outside. Pots and pans need addressed inside the cabin for cooking. There was not enough to prepare all ingredients for a meal. And finally, we had forgotten some things at the property and was only about 30 minutes away when we realized so. We called and they let the cleaning ladies know that we would be back. (As they were there when we had departed. Which was 11:15am). When I arrived back, I asked for the two unopened Starbucks coffee cans in the refrigerator and was told they had thrown them away. I did retrieve the other item that I had went back for but I do feel that I was lied to by the cleaning crew as those were brand new and I find it very unlikely for someone to just throw them out. To say the least, we were very disappointed with this. We tried to make the best of it considering it was our seven year wedding anniversary. I needed to inform you of this as it is not some thing that should go unnoticed. I did leave the cabinet in much better shape than when we arrived. I had to clean most of
