Breakfast was great. Location of hotel is about 10 /15 min flat walk from main square. Good hotel, amenities fab for city break. Staff very helpful.

The room was quite large, which you no longer find in most hotels nowadays and definitely not at this price point (we booked very last minute and paid a little over €100). I believe we were in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was all very clean, well coordinated and just lovely (bathtub, mini-fridge, windows that actually open). I was expecting another small, standard hotel room but Avena Boutique Hotel pleasantly surprised me. The young girl at reception who helped check us in etc was just lovely, and the young gentleman who tended the bar and served us our night cap was equally helpful and pleasant. If you can manage it, spring for the buffet breakfast because it is not to be missed! Local specialties are on offer and the kitchen is just behind the breakfast area so food is coming out all the time and hot and fresh...again, I rarely see this in hotels nowadays. The hotel is a little bit further away from old town (24 minute walk) but if you are lucky to visit Krakow on a warm and sunny day, you don't even notice the trip. There is also an incredible flower market just across the street from the hotel, you will be dazzled with the aroma and colours, definitely worth a visit and a purchase ;-)
I would not hesitate to stay here again if I visit Krakow, everything was actually quite perfect. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Decore, free water cookers. Breakfast was OK
Made me pay for parking extra without telling us in advance parking isn't for free. Not 4 star hotel either..cold in the breakfast area, a cold draft.
