Welcome to The Light House.
The Light House is the closest house to the working Burnett Heads Light house.
Views of the ocean or harbour from every window in the house.
Discover the pristine coastline of Burnett Heads and Mon Repos, with intriguing turtles, whales and the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.
This well-maintained home is the typical Queenslander with closed in verandahs (sleep-outs), and a large, central lounge.
It was the old pilot stations' house, moved with logs to this prime location back in the 30's.
There are 4 bedrooms and a 2-way bathroom, with a claw-foot bath and seperate shower. The toilet is separate.
The 2 queen, and 2 single beds are very comfortable, as is the leather lounge suite.
Ceiling fans are throughout, and sea breezes are too pleasant to bother with air-con.
The fully fenced yard is large enough to park your boat and car, and keep your dog happy and secure.
Outdoor pets welcome and pets may sleep in the laundry at night.
Lockable single shed.
Great fishing and swimming from the rock walls and private beach.
Excellent boating and fishing in river or out to the reef.
A short 700m walk to local Supermarket, shops, PO, pub and club.
Playgrounds and skate bowl in adjacent parks for the kids.

Highly recommend this holiday house.Great place to stay, comfy, with plenty of room for our 4 adults & 2 children.Practical & tastefully decorated house, clean with a well maintained yard.Well appointed kitchen. Spacious bathroom with numerous towel rails & multiple hooks to ensure ample drying space.Quiet & picturesque in a beautiful setting. Excellent location, close to some shops, beach, walking paths & parks. Lovely sea breezes & beautiful views.We appreciated the use of the sporting equipment.Well worth a visit, ideal spot to spend time together with family & friends.We enjoyed the Easter weekend there.Thank you Ross & Tracy for sharing your lovely home with us.

Nice property. Was very clean. The air flow was lacking so it was a bit warm at night. I would say an air conditioner is needed. Also, it would have been nice if some coffee pods were available at the property for the coffee maker that was provided. Also, WiFi is certainly needed at property rentals, especially when traveling international.On a plus side, property had easy access to beach trails and scuba diving adventures.

We found the property overpriced for a family holiday.
With no air con (no matter what the description says - the sea breezes don’t really cool the bedrooms) no WIFI, no linen, and no standard inclusions, like coffee, tea, laundry powder (which we could have brought, rather than buy), it was not a good value stay.
