Prima uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen in Pollino. Dorp op loopafstand via een steil weggetje met voorzieningen als apotheek, bar, supermarkt en slager. Sfeervol huis met alles wat je nodig hebt. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Verhuurster goed bereikbaar voor vragen. Vanaf balkon 1e verdieping mooi zicht op de bergen en op Viggianello.
Het fornuis deed het maar gedeeltelijk. Uitzicht direct vanuit het huis of terras werd helaas belemmerd door te hoge begroeiing.

It wasn’t easy to find the house. The hostess had sent us an email with the necessary instructions, but we didn’t succeed. Fortunately, there was a willing Italian who drove us to the house.
The stay itself is beautiful: wonderful panoramic views over the valley, nice decor of the house, everything very neat and spacious. It was great to enjoy the sun on the terrace with a view over the valley while it was so quiet.
There are two small supermarkets in the neighborhood, but the hostess also had foreseen a basket with some cookies etc.
From Viggianello you can make beautiful walks in the Pollino NP. It isn’t that easy to get walking maps, but again we were helped by some friendly Italians and we managed to buy them in a hotel in neighboring Rotonda.
Recommended !
Not really a downside, but because you can’t darken the windows in the bedrooms you wake up early in the morning
