We decided not to give presents this year for Christmas and take our family on a trip instead. Barrel House exceeded our expectations. The beauty of the outdoors is filled with a magnitude of flowers and trees and vegetables, pool, hot tub AND goats too. It was better than our trip to Italy! The home was so AWESOME and the pictures posted are good but what you get is SO MUCH MORE😊. If you get the chance to visit Sonoma, Barrel House is the place to stay and convenient to the best wineries AND Healdsburg! Thank you so much Meggin🤗

Gorgeous, comfortable home. The gardens were an unexpected bonus. My 3 year old grandson and I started every day feeding the goats, searching for strawberries and picking fresh veges. Great kitchen. Loved the outdoor “rooms”. Pool was heavenly. Highly highly recommend this home.

The Kitchen and decks are great areas to congregate and other outdoor seating areas are wonderful too.3) Pool & Yard - IF you come to DCV late May thru Summer, you want a pool and the yard is big enough for playing catch....or games of cornhole! OH...and access to a basketball hoop which we used everyday.4) Healdsburg - you are just 10mins to get into dwntwn Healdsburg which has a bevy of great restaurants and shops. If you go North a bit, you get to Geyserville or even Cloverdale very easily.You can NOT go wrong with the Barrel House.

We loved the house and the grounds. We were looking for a house suitable for a family reunion/getaway, now that we are vaccinated. The Barrel House was perfect. The grounds gave our young granddaughters plenty of opportunities to play, and the six goats in a fenced area on the property were a bonus. Also, there must have been five different outdoor seating areas. The house is comfortable and well-equipped. I have never seen a kitchen as well stocked as this one. The WiFi worked well and enabled our daughter and son-in-law to telework while we played with our granddaughters. The house is only about 2.5 miles from Healdsburg, with many wineries in the area. We hope to return some day. Thank you, Pam, for showing us around.

This property was absolutely amazing. The home was more then we’ll appointed with antiques, comfortable seating, and more then ample dining space. For people who enjoy cooking, the kitchen could not have been better equipped. The best part of the experience was the outside seating areas and beautiful gardens. The pool and hot tub certainly put it over the top,

It’s a big house and a very cool property, lots of space. Definitely sleeps 8 but 4 have own rooms and other 4 bunk up in a smaller kids room so better for families or than for four couples. Everything in working condition and few things that weren’t the property manager addressed.

I stayed at the Barrel House with my wife and two other couples over President's Day weekend and we left our stay all in agreement that we'd like to stay at Barrel House again. The weather was not great so we could not spend much time outside, no fault of the property, but the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We could only imagine how nice it must be in the warmer months around the pool. The bedrooms are all good size and the beds very comfortable. There are multiple zones for heating and cooling which means the entire house stays comfortable even when it's cold outside (it got down to the 30s when we were there). The family room with the fireplace is what we enjoyed the most. Six people could relax comfortably next to the fireplace which was really enjoyable after a day of wine tasting. We also enjoyed the kitchen/dining room setup and how open it was. The kitchen is stocked amazingly well with spices and cooking items. The only minor critiques are that the ice/water machine in the kitchen refrigerator did not work so we had to buy bottled water. Not a big problem since we went to Big John's Market nearby for supplies everyday anyway, Also we wanted to sit outside around the fire pit one night but were told we could not turn it on for liability reasons. Was a little frustrating since that was one of the selling points of the house for us. We did really enjoy spending time by the fireplace inside though. Overall, we had a wonderful time and plan to stay at Barrel House again.

Our family of 5(all adults)spent a week in this lovely home. The grounds were gorgeous and so peaceful. Plenty of room for us all to have our own space when needed. The pool was the best; it was great to be able to hang out there in the afternoons. Quite refreshing and relaxing. The kitchen is stocked with everything and more that you need. The house is an easy drive into Healdsburg, which has great restaurants and super nice people. Pam, the house manager, was very helpful and was there anytime we needed. You truly feel like you are a guest staying at a friend's house. A few things need to be updated but overall it was great.

We had a girls' retreat in Sonoma wine country and stayed at Barrel House for three nights. Pam greeted us at arrival and walked us through the house and explained everything clearly. The house is well equipped and beds are very comfortable. Its situated in beautiful surrounding and 10 min to Healdsburg downtown. Everything is perfect! I will definitely consider re-renting this place next time I have a wine country vacation.

Three couples in our family thoroughly enjoyed staying here for a week near the Russian River wineries. The house and grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing on the back porch, down by the pool, and over at the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked with every necessity we needed for preparing gourmet meals with fresh herbs / vegetables readily available in the garden for the picking. I look forward to returning in the future.

The house and grounds exceeded our expectations. From the spacious gourmet kitchen to the two private master suites, we were more than satisfied with the interior of the home. Anything we could need to prepare our meals was easily accessible in the well-stocked kitchen. There was more than enough room for 5 adults to be in the kitchen area working together. The house had enough room for us to spread out too when we wanted. The outside space was beautiful as well. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the salt water pool and lounging in the shade near the gardens. I would definitely recommend this house to others and hope to visit again myself!

An amazing house and property in the heart of Healdsburg. Spacious and beautiful throughout. The kitchen is wonderful and the bedrooms very comfortable. Due to our winter timing of our trip we did not get to enjoy the pool, but the hot tub was operational and very nice. The house was immaculate upon our nighttime arrival and the property manager was there and waiting for us. She gave us a complete tour of the house so that there were no questions left unanswered. Only minutes to downtown Healdsburg and literally seconds away from some really nice wineries. I would recommend this property for any traveler to the Sonoma or Healdsburg area with a group of 4 or 6. We all love the home, the property, the personal attention and the surrounding area. Barrel House Vineyards is on top of our list.

It's been said before in previous reviews, but the message is the same... the pictures don't do this place the justice it deserves. It's just awesome. We had 6 adults, and we all had room to roam and relax. There are multiple seating areas scattered throughout the property, and the pool was a great way to unwind after visiting the wineries. The property manager was easily accessible, and she was accommodating to our late arrival, too. My only complaint is that we didn't spend more time hanging out at the house.

In search of a vacation spot to celebrate a special birthday with our adult children, we zeroed in on finding a suitable home in the Healdsburg area, which we had visited 15 years prior. We were not disappointed. Barrel House provided all the comforts of home...and more. The grounds are exquisite, from the pool area to the hot tub to the hammock to the basketball court and beyond. Most beautiful are the flowers and foliage in bloom. We dined out in town several nights but enjoyed most our evenings grilling at home and sitting outside at the long table just outside the kitchen, which is well-stocked and lacks nothing. Though there is ample space to sit indoors, whether around the dining room table or by the fireplace in the living room, we spent most of our time outdoors. Barrel House is conveniently located to both a large supermarket and smaller gourmet grocery store, as well as to a drugstore, bank, etc. The ride into downtown Healdsburg is less than ten minutes, and of course, the distance to wineries, Lake Sonoma, the main highway, etc. is nominal. The home is professionally managed and although we had no issues, we knew that Pam was just a phone call away. As our first VRBO rental, Barrel House set the bar very high!

We stayed at Barrel House for my wedding weekend and let me tell you that the pictures do this property no justice! The grounds were absolutely amazing and the house itself was perfect with all of the amenities that you could want. Pam was super helpful upon check-in and throughout the stay. We want to come back!!
