About this cottage rental
At Lake Iroquois (St-Adolphe-D'Howard), less than an hour from Montreal! Beautiful country house, rustic cottage style for rent! Located near a stream that flows year-round, it offers great privacy thanks to the large wooded lot where it is built. In addition, it is possible to enjoy the sun and the beautiful landscape either on the terrace (partly covered) or on a platform near the lake (not navigable). Several amenities are also available to enhance your stay including five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a shower room, a fully equipped kitchen, free internet (WI-FI), a pool table, a spa, an outdoor fire pit and two BBQs! It is perfect to spend unforgettable moments with family and/or friends.

We had a lovely time at the cottage; the interior space is big, enough bedrooms and bathrooms to sleep us all in comfort. The bedding/towels etc. were all in great condition and the beds were comfortable and clean.
We are all good cooks, so we were slightly disappointed with the kitchen, as there were no drawers for storage, the kitchen sink faucet needs to be replaced, we couldn't find a teapot and there wasn't a dish rack to dry the dishes. Also, while there was a bbq, it hasn't been cleaned in quite a while, and we had trouble getting it lit.
The sound of the rushing river beside the cottage was lovely to listen to, but unfortunately the small lake that it leads into is basically inaccessible from the cottage property. We tried walking through the rocks, but they are sharp and slippery, making it a little difficult. We did walk along the road to try swimming from another location, and while we could swim, it's not a great lake for swimming. It's maybe 8' or 10' deep, and while the water is fairly clear (due to the rushing river), you can feel grass and weeds brushing your legs and feet while you swim.
The cottage interior is a great space, we were just looking to enjoy a more lake-based experience, but overall, the 14 of us had a great time visiting, eating, laughing and relaxing.

Our group of nine (four adults and five children) had a wonderful stay at this property. The house is warm, comfortable and very clean. It's in a lovely, quiet setting, but close enough to the two ski hills we were skiing at, as well as to grocery stores and other amenities. The owner was great to communicate with and answered any questions very promptly. We will certainly look forward to staying here again in the future!
