Cromwell road apartments

The property was selected based on location and the facilities available as we were travelling with an elderly relative. The hosts were excellent and very accommodating to enable us to check in ahead of the usual time as we had arrived very early following a long haul flight. The apartment was well laid out and very comfortable & we were very happy with it but a few things could be done to improve the experience.

Additional equipment is needed in the kitchen eg a pair of scissors, a board for cutting things on, a strainer etc - the set up is for self catering but many of the items one would expect are missing. there was no tea towel for wiping up, no dish cloths for wiping surfaces and no table mats for the table. It would also be nice to have some of the staples left eg salt and pepper as one does not usually want to go out and buy those for a short stay.

Rubbish bins out the front of property looked untidy

Sainsbury’s across the street. Pleasant short walk to Earl’s Court tube station. Bedrooms located on quiet back of building (not Cromwell Rd). 2 bathrooms. Provided dishwasher tabs and laundry tabs. Elevator (tiny).

Doors installed incorrectly so hard to open/close, *very* loud noise. Dishwasher left a few dishes dirty each time we ran it. Understocked - no salt, pepper, or cooking oil; no frying pan to cook eggs; no extra towels, not enough toilet paper or paper towels, not enough shampoo/conditioner/body wash. A/C unit exhaust vent was broken, which the host acknowledged during check-in (but we didn’t end up using it). Master bathroom shower sprays water outside the tub, but no extra towels to wipe it up. Traffic noise on Cromwell Rd affected the kitchen/living room when windows are open.
