The apartment is very comfortable and clean and in a quiet neighbourhood. Maria proved to be a gem of a host, picking us up and taking us to our next stop afterwards. The aircon works well, the bed and sofa bed are cosy and the kitchen well equipped. We had everything we needed and had a great stay. Close by is a lovely area with bars, restaurants and a pretty coastal trail with spots to swim at. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was super! The host Mariya is wonderfull! If we decide to go to Dubrovnik again definitely it will be - Apartment Navis!

The view from the apartment of the bay is good although it’s a side view from the balcony and from the living room window. The host gave us very detailed instructions to check in along with videos so we appreciate all the hard work she put into it and making the check in and checkout experience seamless. The location is short walk to the bus stop (although through steps behind the building) and there are two supermarkets nearby. The bed was large and the host had made the sofa bed for us which was appreciated. There’s adequate hot water despite the heater in the bathroom and we didn’t run out of hot water.

The apartment appears new but the fittings and furnishings are not in good shape, scratched, old or low quality. The chairs creek when you sit. Overall cleanliness was also not good, the bathroom and toilet should’ve been cleaned better also it didn’t have the sticker paper on the toilet showing it was sanitized and fresh to use. This was my fourth apartment rental in Croatia during the last 10 days and all the other three apartments had the sanitized sticker in the bathrooms- in Dubrovnik, Hvar and Zadar, except this one and were all cleaned and decorated well. The cooking range appeared to be just hastily wiped down. The main trashcan is a cheap plastic one that’s hard to open with the foot pedal and the bathroom trash can is the size of a toy, which makes things inconvenient if traveling with kids. The towels and sheets were also low quality and very scratchy or starchy to use, the towels almost felt like sandpaper. Another huge drawback is the lack of a dishwasher and very tiny sink. All the other Croatia apartments were equipped with dishwashers (both large or small ones). This may work for certain individuals but for me the overall experience was sub-par. I was really looking forward to staying at a nice, clean, well decorated and maintained rental to enjoy Lapad but it missed the mark on in key areas. Overall not good value for money, it was just Euro 20 less than the apartment I stayed in just outside Pile Gate, which was pretty good.
