Overall a lovely stay. Beautiful location.

We enjoyed the location, the pool and the view. We had a large room. The daughter was very helpful, too.

The extra price for coffee (other than instant coffee) at breakfast is not very common. Variety at breakfast could be improved.

Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel up on the hill with great views out across the sea. Rooms comfortable and clean. Lovely swimming pool with sun loungers with drinks available from the bar inside the hotel. Family run hotel and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nice pool area. Nice rooms. Varm pool, about 32-33 degrees. Cold fresh water showers.

Breakfast vas small and it was full of wasps. You need car to stay here, or taxi, hill up to hotel is very steep.

Very nice property : the view and swimming pool were truly amazing.

The breakfast is really not great. We prefered not to eat on our second night. The bed and sheets are not very comfortable.

Hotel is nice , clean , beutyful , staff nice , helpful and hospitable . You feel yourself like guest of these family not a customer . You leave and want to come back once again . Wonderful hotel, wonderful hosts. The food was delicious. The pool is extremely clean and around the pool is tidy. The rooms exude a retro style and give some warmth, clean and tidy. Warm recommendations.

Beautiful family run hotel, staff really look after you! Amazing pool with fantastic views. Ended up booking an extra night and hoping to stay again on return trip to Tirana. Food is awesome, lovely spacious room with balcony overlooking the bay. Beautiful swimming pool- cannot find any faults. Highly recommend

This hotel is really romantic. Every room have a tiny balcony with seats and beautiful view. All premise were clean. And the beautiful view you can also enjoying during breakfast or swimming in a pool.

I have never seen more mosquitoes than in this hotel. Every night was a bit fight for life. :D

The overcharge ccompletely ruined the experience

I was - probably by accident - charged 10 times the correct amount for our stay. After several weeks I have still not received the refund even though the hotel has accepted the overcharge.

Perfect View

The place is nice with a perfect view. It is a family business, and they are amazing! The swimming pool is perfect to relax after a day at the beach. The breakfast was good.

The bed was not so comfortable, but nothing that would demerit the place.

The hotel had a fantastic view of the ocean and a nice pool. The owner was a fantastic cook and very friendly.

The driveway to the hotel is very steep at the entrance which scraped the bumper of my car.

We really liked this place - very kind hostess, clean and tidy room. Since we were the first guests this season, we got a room with a sea view at no extra charge. Good location - there are several restaurants nearby, as well as the opportunity to have dinner at the hotel. Only 10 minutes drive to Vlore.

Very stylish Hotel outside of Vlora. The Staff / family is very friendly. Hotel is very clean and has a special Italian style / flair.

Rooms are very warm. Charging extra money for breakfast Coffee 2022: 180 Leke for small Cappuccino) is not okay.

Superb Views from a Friendly, Family Run Hotel

A fantastic family run hotel who are super friendly and always available to help. The location is up a steep road which then gives you amazing panorama views across the bay, especially beautiful at sunset. The pool was a welcome addition and used regularly. The breakfast was buffet style consisting of the normal European offerings including plenty of fruit, bread, cakes, meats and omelettes, first rather nice Lavazza coffee was free.

To get to this amazing place uphill the road is quite steam for some meters. But once you get here you don't regret it!

Exemplary hospitality in a beautiful setting.

Wow! Hotel San Saena is the best place we've stayed whilst travelling in the Balkans. The family were so welcoming, friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is charming and the room was a good size. Quality air conditioning and shower. The highlight was the excellently maintained pool which had plenty of room for all guests to enjoy and relax by. It was clearly kept very clean also. We ended up eating at the hotel most evenings as the food was so fresh and tasty and the atmosphere so relaxing. Having a drink on the terrace while watching the sunset over the beautiful scenery was a real privilege and will be a special memory for us forever.

It really is hard to fault anything but just a few things to be aware of: 1)No card payments accepted and there is no ATM within walking distance so make sure you take out plenty of cash before arriving. 2) The hotel is up a very steep (but short) hill, some cars...and people...may struggle. 3) We could hear a lot of noise at busy times of the day (ie breakfast rush and when guests were returning from their night out). If you're a light sleeper this may bother you. Overall though a stunning stay with exemplary hospitality so these are just things to be aware of when booking.
