Perched atop a private cliffside in the Muskoka woods, The Aux Box is a one-of-a-kind luxury cabin designed for complete relaxation and reconnection with nature. Nestled on its own private property, this is the only cabin on site—offering an exclusive retreat where every amenity is yours to enjoy, while still being less than 10 minutes from downtown Huntsville's restaurants, cafés, shops, and attractions.
Your stay begins with a short forested trail walk (approximately one minute) from the parking area to the cabin, creating the feeling of arriving at your own hidden sanctuary in the woods.
Inside, every detail has been thoughtfully curated. The cabin features heated tile flooring, air conditioning, a wood-burning fireplace, custom cabinetry, built-in speakers, and premium Canadian-made amenities throughout. The kitchenette is equipped with an induction cooktop, bar fridge, kettle, toaster, French press, cookware, utensils, and custom pottery dishware—everything needed to prepare simple meals in comfort and style. Outside, enjoy a BBQ, outdoor gas fireplace, and bonfire area beneath the string lights.
The spa-inspired bathroom includes a luxurious rainhead shower and handcrafted soaps made in Ontario by Telford.
The highlight of the property is the completely private Nordic spa, nestled into the forest for a truly immersive experience. Relax in the cedar sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, and outdoor shower (summer months), surrounded by nothing but trees, fresh air, and the sounds of nature. Unlike many spa experiences, these amenities are reserved exclusively for you—never shared with other guests.
New for summer, Aux Box guests also enjoy private access to the Muskoka River. A 5 minute walk from the cabin leads to your own waterfront retreat, complete with a dock, lounge chairs, and canoe. Spend the afternoon paddling along the river, taking a refreshing swim, or simply unwinding by the water with a good book. It's a quintessential Muskoka experience that perfectly complements the tranquility of the cabin and Nordic spa.

A true hidden gem. Our weekend away was perfect in every way – remote, peaceful, and beautiful snowy views. It was instant relaxation. From the tiny fireplace that heated the cabin, the Edison lights that line your walk up to the Aux Box, built in Bluetooth speaker to our own outdoor spa (loved the cold plunge after a hot sauna) our few days up north were just what we needed. We brought all our food with us (even the BBQ was top notch) and never left this piece of paradise. Thank you Garth and Rebecca your place was the perfect escape, and we can’t wait to come back!

I had one of the best stays of my life at this property. Everything exceeded my expectations — from the immaculate cleanliness to the incredibly cozy atmosphere. The Aux Box is the perfect blend of modern design and warm, thoughtful comfort. Every detail is carefully considered, and it truly feels like a luxury retreat hidden in the woods.
The sauna, hot tub, and the charming outdoor setup created the perfect relaxing experience. Even though the space is compact, it has everything you could possibly need — beautifully organized, fully equipped, and designed in a way that feels both spacious and intimate. The attention to detail is exceptional, and it’s clear that the hosts truly care about creating a memorable stay.
The vibe of the place is magical — peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature. Whether you’re unwinding in the hot tub under the lights or enjoying the quiet of the forest, it feels like a perfect escape from the city. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This stay was absolutely perfect, and I would rate it 10 stars if I could. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning! Garth and Rebecca spared no expenses with the extras. Every detail of the box was well thought out and planned. We came in dating, and left engaged!
