We had an absolutely wonderful time Peter and Susan could not have been more hospitable. The apartment was clean and lovingly decorated. Our first night they welcomed us with pancakes and the most delicious coffee. Thank you so much for making our trip unforgettable.

Our first trip to Curacao was delightful as we rented the car our hosts arranged for us (after picking us up at the airport!) and explored the many adventures available, receiving much guidance by our hosts. This included nearby beaches and snorkeling, hiking 2 nearby National parks, visiting downtown Willemstad and so much more. The property itself was very comfortable, with a beautiful verandah and outdoor courtyard ( where the nighttime view of the sky was breathtaking!) to enjoy the almost constant tropical breeze. Peter and Susi were always available for anything we needed (even doing our laundry!) yet gave us space to enjoy our time as we wanted.

We had a big studio at TropicHill in Barber for an entire month, from December 15th to January 15th. Although it is not a modern flat, it has character, offers space and privacy. We cooked everyday and ate outside in the large and breezy porch where we can overlook the magnificent landscape of Barber and two beautiful 'windows’ through the mountains over the ocean. We also had access to another common back balcony extremely breezy and refreshing since the daily temperature in December was around 30-32 C.
Peter and Suzanne were the perfect hosts and provided everything we need to enjoy our stay. They also arranged our car rental ! Yes, you need a car to explore the surroundings and the beautiful beaches around which are at about 10-15 minutes. There are a few stores to buy foods around but the real supermarket ( the Centrum) is about 20 minutes drive ! We would recommend to bring mosquitos repellent for inside and out to enjoy the stars in the sky. Thanks to Peter and Suzanne, our hosts as well as… Silvester and Hugo, the 2 admirable and attaching dogs which always come to say hello almost every day !
