Great villa, great host - would definitely recommend
The villa is beautiful and on arrival it far exceeded our expectations. Outside dining and sitting areas were lovely so you had choices of where to sit depending on the sun. As a family of 4, my eldest loved the attic space (which ended up being a great hang out area for his newly made friends). Robert was an excellent support throughout our stay and was on hand to help at all times.
We had an issue with the hot water, so no-one had a full hot shower for the duration of our stay. It wasn't helped that we visited over a Bank Holiday so whilst Robert did everything he could to fix it, he couldn't. Luckily the weather was good but cold showers aren't the best for hangovers!! We were compensated for the inconvenience though, which was really appreciated. The island doesn't have anywhere to buy fresh fish/meat so we didn't get to use the bbq - so come prepared with a big shop (we only did a small shop on our way to island and regretted it!) Other things that could be improved: One of the beds (next to bathroom) was very creaky, which kept me awake Neither beds on the first floor had proper pillows, they felt more like sofa cushions - so weren't the cosiest for a good night's sleep The kettle didn't switch off once boiled, which is dangerous - needs replacing.
