House / Villa - Tanger

The house was beautiful in the style of a Riad. The furnishings were comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen if we wanted to cook meals as well as an optional cook if we wanted. David, our host was wonderful and easy to contact when we had trouble finding the house on arrival. The only downsides were no air conditioning units in the rooms which we really needed in the summer heat and it was noisy. We only had one window downstairs where we slept and when we opened it we could hear lots of street noise late at night. They were doing construction next door which added to the noise. Also, be prepared to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the kitchen if you are sleeping on the bottom floor.

Perfection. First time in Tangier for our party of seven and we could not have asked for anything more. The house is perfectly situated within easy walking distance to the Casbah, the markets, and other must-see sites, with beautiful views of the Strait of Gibraltar (and Spain on clear days!). It afforded both an exceptional amount of privacy and large communal spaces to eat and gather. Impeccably decorated with beautiful and thoughtful touches throughout, striking just the right balance of elegant but welcoming and comfortable. As if this weren't enough, the lovely and generous Asmae provided more delectable meals than any we had in restaurants on the rare occasions we ate dinner elsewhere. So grateful for her culinary prowess and kindness, as well as the warmth and hospitality of the host/ owner, David, who was so helpful throughout our stay.

Un dépaysement total dans cette superbe maison idéalement située dans la médina, au pied de Kasbha et à deux pas de tous les lieux incontournables de Tanger. Son toit Terrasse offre une vue époustouflante sur le port, la mer et l’Espagne et est idéal pour y diner, et s’y détendre paisiblement. Le cadre est authentique, typique et très convivial avec un grand soin apporté à la décoration et un parfait confort qui offre à chacun ses espaces. Grâce aux précieux conseils du propriétaire et à la jeune femme en charge de l'entretien et talentueuse cuisinière, qui nous a régalé de ses spécialités, nous nous sommes immédiatement immergés dans la vie et l'ambiance locale. Le charme opère et tous les ingrédients sont réunis pour vivre l’expérience tangéroise… Nous recommandons cette adresse qui allie authenticité, confort, convivialité et facilité.

The house is lovely and well-situated in the Medina/Kasbah. It was a bit difficult for us to get our luggage to the house but, once settled in, we really enjoyed the location.
