Great location, lots of space, very clean , an very quiet in the night

The location is fantastic, just 5 minutes off the old town square, 10 minutes off the beach, 15 minutes to the escalators which take you upto the Tourist Train stop which travels around the modern resort. Very clean property and useful to note unlike many other properties that all cleaning some toiletry products are provided - I would assume these are left behind by other occupants (I left disposable razors and shaving foam) but in many other properties have visited they are taken out by cleaners and you are lucky to get toilet roll. Patio/Balcony is as suntrap so even in the middle of February it is really pleasant to sit out from 11.00am when sun comes over the building. Very quiet, although in February the Avenue Liberdade literally closes down at 7pm - so I think in the coming month it will get busier. Restaurant directly underneath serves English Breakfast for just 4 Euros and you can take away if you want which is handy as the property has a lift so you can be up and eating on the patio/balcony within minutes. Great restaurants around, you will not go hungry. Good communication from the agents also about the arrival and departure process. There is free parking although up a steep hill on R. Maria Teresa Semedo de Azevedo, you can get close enough to the apartment to drop your bags and pay for a short period on the street metres but then take your car away to the free parking area. It is recommended only the fittest member of your group go and collect it when you wish to go out.

It did seem a little cold in the apartment - certainly colder inside than outside and we had to buy sliders due to the cold floor. There is no heating which you wouldn't need but I did wonder if perhaps an older couple would end up wrapped in blankets in the evening or early mornings. I cannot criticize the agents at all - maybe they should provide a proper map for key collection from their office. The Sat Nav does not take you to the front of their office as the road is kind of circle shaped. Out SatNav advised we had reached our destination with no office in sight. A quick look at google maps indicated it could be anywhere on the loop. Lastly - it seems in Portugal the owners of a complex can do as they please without notifying residents, management agents of apartments or the actual lease holders. On day 2 of our 6 day stay - we arrived back from a day out in Quarteira to find all the patio/balcony furniture stacked up and a man on the patio pressure washing the walls to loosen the plaster. He apologised and said he had 2 weeks work on the complex. No-one new about this and it meant the area was no longer able to be used as there was plaster everywhere, a hosepipe and ladders plus he was obviously preparing all the areas on the complex first so no chance of him finishing the job. So we had to sit in doors while we got ready in the morning, missing the early morning sun and also after a day out we had to sit inside. My daughter who is aged 15 and being a teenager often likes to take a lazy afternoon at the apartments when we are on holiday whilst we go out, but she as uncomfortable with the man outside her window. I do not blame anyone to do with the letting but it was clearly planned renovation and someone should have been notified,
