Candelaria House Boutique

Very well decorated old colonial house, in a quiet street in the Candelaria, ~15 min walk to the Plaza. The bed is extremely comfortable, room is clean, breakfast was very good and fresh and we liked the fact that we could sit with others on a big table for breakfast. Giving it a lower score (it deserves a 9) because of the check in experience (below).

Unfortunate check in experience… we arrived late (around 11:30pm), I had sent a message on booking and WhatsApp to inform them of the arrival time and did not get an answer. We get there and there’s no one. I find another number to call (not on WhatsApp). In the end we have to wait around 45min in a nearby cafe that was closing, the person kept it open for us, and the hotel did not offer to pay for our consumption to compensate for the delay. They apologized but a small gesture would’ve been nice given how late it was; or they should send a message ahead of time stating that there’s no 24/7 reception for guests to manage.

I liked the location in Candelaria,the place was very comfortable and cozy,spacious room in an old and stylish house with a common room for breakfast that was delicious served with fresh fruit and eggs à la carte Staff very kind and friendly

The location, the host, and .the property's unique character. The shower has a nice flow and plenty of hot water.

There was a bad odor in one of the rooms we rented. The owner could not locate the source of the problem. Also, there was no fixture in the shower stall to keep a soap or shampoo bottle. We kept the soap dispenser on the floor.

Unique little hotel in a central location. Surprisingly quiet considering location and I liked the focus on security. The room had everything I needed and a great breakfast included!

Quite difficult to find the hotel.
