Exceptional, the host Jim and daughter are realy accommodating, friendly and Jim is the best, funny man. Best food, best location is only 5 minutes to city of Killarney and 25 minutes to Carauntoohil Mountain if your plan to hike, Highly recommended 👌 👍 👏 💯 🙌

For us since our plan is to hike, there's nothing to say, we are happy of everything. Most important we have bed to sleep and shower, toilet to used on our own..

Beautiful gardens , & comfortable private room. Parking on site.. Jimmy was an excellent host - VERY welcoming & offered great ‘insight’ into places to visit ! Choice of a lovely breakfast 😋

Nichts

This is an old-fashioned B&B in the best sense of the word. A very warm welcome by the owner Jim greeted us. We had a lovely twin room, as required, with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was modern and well maintained. The traditional Irish breakfast was rich and tasty and served in a cosy dining room. In the evening we could sit in the lovely garden in front of the house and enjoy the last of the sun which was a great end of the day. The owner Jim was such a lovely man, so friendly, helpful and funny, and we enjoyed the wee chats with him.

Due to the location beside a busy road into Killarney it was very loud but thankfully during the night there was less traffic so the noise did not disturb our sleep too badly. The bathroom was quite small, the shower cabin in particular, and had a shower head fixed to the wall instead of to a flexible hose. I know this is just my own thing but I prefer the flexible-hose-shower head. I am an elderly woman and a bit overweight and I find it hard to get the water to the parts of my body where it is most needed. Men do not have the same problems with that as women have due to their different anatomy if you understand what I mean. In this shower cabin it was quite difficult because it is so narrow and the shower curtain stuck to my body.
