La Maison Bateau au Bord de Mer

Beautiful location by an ever-changing bay, the village has a couple of restaurants, bar and very well-stocked supermarket that you can walk to and there are lots of lovely spots in the surrounding area. Hosts were superb; friendly, helpful, responsive, even gave us some fresh produce from their garden and updated the Wifi because it wasn't working very well. The house has everything, kitchen has all appliances and was clean and shining. The outside space is large, welcoming and well designed with tables front or back, in shade or sun as well as the hot tub and sauna. It's clear a huge amount of thought has gone into making this a wonderful place to stay.

We were four adults (two couples) and we found the bedrooms a bit small and ended up using the bedrooms we didn't sleep in to store our things. There are also no mirrors in the bathrooms or most bedrooms. Small gripes that did not spoil our stay.

The apartment is spacious and very well furnished. The garden is exceptionally well maintained and wonderfully expansive. Situated directly on a bay that falls dry at low tide, it offers beautiful walks out into the mudflats. We felt comfortable at all times, and the owners were very pleasant people.
