Kuganipi Beachside Inn Iriomote

Hoshidate is the oldest recorded village on Iriomote. It holds many traditional Okinawan ceremonies throughout the year with many of the village residents taking part. With a backdrop of lush jungle forest and a stunning bay reaching out to the edge of the surrounding reef, Kuganipi has a character all of its own. Tropical plants visited by exotic species of butterflies in the day and fruit bats and owls roosting in the trees at night create a unique atmosphere on this tropical island paradise.

Wspaniala lokalizacja,super gospodarz,bardzo pomocny, dał liczne wskazówki dotyczące okolicy, wycieczek, sklepów, lokalnych restauracji, można było korzystać z rowerów i kajaków. Najwyższy poziom! Dom wspaniały, wszystkie udogodnienia.

朝ごはんが地元食材を利用したもので、調理も上手な印象を受けました。お米が特に美味しかったです。 シャンプーとか洗剤もナチュラル系のもので、心地よかったです。 困りごとがあっても、メッセージするとすぐに対応いただけました。 自転車とカヤックの無料レンタルも助かりました。 歩いて30秒でキレイで静かなビーチがあって、サンセットがとてもキレイでした。 周辺の集落の感じも、落ち着いててよかったです。

テラスでご飯食べようと思ってましたが、夏は流石に暑くて、お家の中で食べました。

The apartment was inside very clean and had all necessary amenities. The washing machine was a huge plus. The host was very nice.

I think the most disappointing was that the pictures did not reflect the reality otherwise we would have not booked it for the price. The outside of the apartment as well as the entry to the grounds were super overgrown and somewhat neglected. The goat is kept at the front of the house in a way cute to look at but it is also very welcoming for flies. The backyard, where guests have their little outdoor space, is super overgrown and neglected which did not invite us to stay outside. Iriomote is a jungle island so the overgrowth also let to a lot of insects everywhere, even though we had everything closed the whole time we had two fat spiders in our apartment, a cockroach and a lizard. All not the end of the world as again Iriomote is a jungle island but I feel if the outside would have been kept a bit more clean this could have been prevented. also we read how nice the host is and that you can rent out everything, which is true but everything at an extra cost. Also the beds were not really comfortable.
