About this house rental

Casa Cerretillo is a beautifully maintained, spacious, detached rustic house, with hints of the region’s Moorish past. It is nestled on El Cerretillo with uninterrupted and stunning views of the rolling olive hills, Mount Tinosa and the village of Algarinejo. Being situated along a short track just above the road means this quiet position is easily accessible. Enter from the rear 'car park with a view' into the large sun patio with private 10x5 metre pool and outdoor kitchen area with rustic pizza oven. Enjoy the secluded patio along the front of the house nick named by guests at the 'mama mia' patio. This is also a wonderful place to feel closer to nature whilst still enjoying all the creature comforts. Enjoy the local flora and fauna - walking, cycling, riding, birdwatching (& almond blossom appreciating!). With the historical city of Granada only 1 hour and Iznajar lake and beach 30mins away and many historic villages locally - you get the best of both worlds. This 3 bed house with separate kitchen, dining room and lounge is perfect for a romantic get-away or family holiday.

We had an amazing 12 night stay in Casa Cerretillo.The house was very well equipped for self catering and the outdoor kitchen was in a perfect spot to admire the beautiful views.Definitely the place to go for peace and relaxation!

A fantastic villa in a great location with great views. The owners have taken great care to make it a home from home with everything you could need or want. The outside spaces are exceptional with a large patio, outdoor dining/kitchen and a bar. Perfect for watching the sun set behind the mountains. The pool is a major feature and is as big as you could ever hope to get in a villa at this sort of price. If you want peace, quiet and a relaxing experience, then Casa Cerretillo is a great choice.

We stayed 2 weeks at El Ceretillo. 1 1/2 hours away from Malaga, near Algarinejo. The house has a beautiful setting facing the hills and a very private lovely pool. We were welcomed by Mark and Jenny, the caretakers of the property.The house is clean, has everything you need , plenty of shady areas and as stated a really nice pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our children the first week and with a friend of ours the second week.Day trips we made to Montefrio, Prieto de Córdoba and Iznajar. All within easy drive of the house. Iznajar is lovely.Algarinejo, 10 minutes drive from the house , has a supermarket and 3 restaurants. The pizzeria on the square is nice but the pizza’s aren’t great! Instead go for the fresh grilled shrimps and croquettes with ham and chicken! Wonderful. Piolas is a Michelin star restaurant and we were actually a bit disappointed. It wasn’t bad but we thought it was not Michelin star food. The best restaurant is la Huella, which is a bit more towards the edge of the village. We can honestly say that the food is wonderful and reasonably prices. An absolute must for an evening out!So we had a great stay, loved the house, the weather and the restaurants. The only thing we would have loved to see in the kitchen is a microwave. We can highly recommend this beautiful house to future visitors!
