About this apartment rental
Ski-in and ski-out of our gorgeous family-owned, self-catering, 4th floor apartment, with lift. We are right on the piste in a unique but quiet position about 10 mins walk from the centre of Mottaret, with its ski schools, lifts, supermarket, shops, restaurants and clubs. You can ski right back to the door of the ski locker throughout the season, and there is another supermarket and bakery at Le Hameau, just above the apartment block, which you can stop off at on your ski back home. The apartment sleeps 5-7. The main mezzanine bedroom has a superking double bed (can be made up for you as 2 singles) and there are 3 more single beds in a separate bedroom. All beds have duvets with our own freshly laundered bed linen and are prepared for you prior to your arrival. Towels are also provided. The family bathroom, shower room and separate WC have been newly renovated. The well-equipped, open plan galley kitchen adjoins the dining area with views out from the balcony over the piste and the mountains beyond. The west facing balcony is perfect for lunches back at home or as a sun trap for non-skiers. The open plan living area has a very comfortable fold-down queen sized bed for 1-2 people. We have Cable TV, DVD and free WiFi. The lift takes you down to the ski locker in the basement with access directly on to the blue Furet piste. The nursery slope is just at the bottom of the Furet. There is free open air parking at the rear of property. We also let the apartment during the summer when there is masses to do for all ages. The lifts run at particular times of the day allowing you access to the mountains for hiking and mountain biking. We have stayed as a family in one of the “Refuges” - mountain log cabins which you can hike to and from. In addition there is archery, go-karting, swimming in the lake, rivers and Olympic pool, canyoning, riding, tennis, golf, paragliding, sailing, fishing, skating and ‘high ropes’ in the woods below Mottaret – a high wire assault course colour coded for difficulty! The scenery is breathtaking and the air is wonderfully pure.

Incredible location. Right on the piste with a short ski to 3 main ski lifts. Boot locker is on Piste level and there is a elevator right to front door of apartment.Kitchen is very well equipped and the whole space works well. The apartment was clean and well presented on arrival and there are useful information books to get the most out of your stay. Highly recommended.

Great location. Ski in/out definitely only steps away from slopes. Instructions were very detailed. Lucy was very helpful with answers to my many questions prior to our travels.Emily and Adelaide were helpful upon arrival. Unit was described perfectly in VBRO listing.

Our family (2 adults and 2 children) had a wonderful stay at Lucy's ski apartment in Mottaret. The apartment is extremely comfortable and well-appointed and feels both larger and cozier than the listing photos might imply. We were able to cook and eat meals in the apartment whenever we wanted without any difficulty. The location is perfect -- just off the Perdrix trail (green) near Yeti Park and up the stairs from Mottaret center. Check-in was a breeze and Lucy was an extremely informative, helpful, and gracious host. When there was a minor hiccup with the heating due to severe winds the night before we checked in (a random occurrence and nobody's fault) Lucy arranged for somebody to show up first thing the next morning who not only fixed the issue but also left two additional space heaters just in case we might need them (we didn't -- the apartment is very comfortable). This is a family property, not the typical investment/rental unit that seems to be increasingly common, but also has the benefit of a wonderful host and local property management. It has the feel of a very special place, and for us it certainly was. Highly recommended!

We stayed for 2 weeks in Lucy’s appartment. It was excellent.
The highlights include;
- the appartment has great amenities. Lots of everyday items provided (cling film, dishwasher tabs, salt and pepper etc). Plenty of hooks and Space for drying ski kit. Bath and separate shower with great water pressure, never ending hot water. Very well equiped kitchen. Own ski locker in the basement. Lift right next to appartment. Personal touches including family photos made it seem very homely.
- fantastic location: genuine ski in and ski out. Right next to main green run for Mottaret. Doors from ski room straight out to the piste.
- recommended ski hire shop (Theirry at Ski Evasion) was amazing. They treated us like family. Couldn’t quite believe how helpful and thoughtful they were. It’s also not far from the appartment
Lucy was super helpful as a host, sharing lots of good and clear information about location, keys, arrival and departure. Overall, a great stay. Thank you.
