About this cottage rental
This traditional cottage is situated in Seggiano and is excellent for spending a holiday in Italy. Ideal for a family, there is 1 bedroom and can accommodate 3 guests. This stay has a private terrace and private furnished garden for you to enjoy the lovely afternoon sun.
The town centre is only 5 km from the stay, perfect for wandering through the streets in the evenings. The nearest restaurants and supermarkets are 3 km from the cottage. Forest is only 100 m away if you would like to explore the nature. Only 2 km away from the Baita del Pr'azzolo, in the locality of Pescia is a new facility, a lake for sport fishing with refreshments, so lovers of fishing may rejoice!
An open kitchen with oven and a refrigerator is in place for you to use and prepare meals of your choice. Parking is also available for the guests. This cottage also offers satellite TV and fireplace for your comfortable stay. A maximum of 2 pets are allowed to stay on the property.
Check in begins from 3-6 PM and check out is from 9-10 AM.
Expenses related to charging an electric or hybrid car (when possible) are always charged according to use and separately

The house is situated in a remote area, so remote that it takes at least 70-90 min to drive in hilly and slow small roads from the highway to reach it. Pescina is also difficult to find! Once there (after the owner came and collected us from the nearby pizzeria), the place is spectacular. The house is tiny and quite busy with a lot of stuff but with space to sit and cook, wash and sleep. it is surrounded by a rather large hilly ground and each side of the house has its own terrace/sitting area to the the most of the sun and the shade. There is even an outdoor sink and BBQ! The place is very very quiet. Not a sound and amazing starry skies. We took the most of all this outside space and sun and quietness. The local pizzeria/restaurant (da Lucca) bearby is very nice and convenient. No walking on the road at night, though! On the minus side, the house is quite rustic. The bathroom is almost below par. The hot water is not a lot (one miny shower at the time), the plastic mat was not clean underneath and everything gets wet after showering. The kitchen works well but there is not a lot of space to cook (and wash). The house could have perhaps been cleaner (drain in the kitchen) There is no wifi (OK!) but the connection to the network is erratic. It should not be a great deal but it is a bit confronting. WE did not expect the area to be so remote, which makes every moves to other places like an expedition. 5km takes 15-20 min. Siena is 90min away! We were not prepared! our fault! The walks themselves are not super easy as they go quite up and down. Overall, be ready for a very remote and quiet/rustic place!

Het huisje was veel meer afgelegen dan we hadden kunnen afleiden uit de beschrijving. Bij slecht weer en buiten het seizoen was hier naar onze mening weinig te doen in omstreken, we hadden meer toerisme verwacht. Ook de kleine waterboiler in de badkamer vonden we een jammer feit, waardoor we slechts 5 minuten warm water hadden om te douchen en ook niet met twee personen na elkaar konden douchen. We zijn ook in de helft van onze vakantieweek vroeger naar huis vertrokken. Onze laatste nacht in het huisje hebben we moeten vaststellen dat er in de late avond en nacht meerdere personen rond het huisje liepen en aan de deuren voelden om eventueel binnen te raken. Hierdoor voelden we ons spijtig genoeg niet langer 100% veilig en hebben we de spijtige beslissing genomen onze vakantie in te korten en naar huis te gaan. Toen we de bewuste ochtend van ons vroeger vertrek de auto aan het inladen waren hebben we ook vast gesteld dat de mensen die 's nachts rond ons huis hebben gelopen aan de auto gezeten hadden en hun sigarettenpeuk vanvoor in de grill van de auto geduwd hadden.
