This is a beautiful, old chateau. Plenty of room for a group, very clean, very good host. Very convenient to D Day sites and to Bayeux. Very well equipped kitchen and laundry room, so great for families. It is in the country, so no shops or restaurants within walking distance. That was fine with us - we enjoyed the peace and quiet very much. I would stay here again if traveling with a group. I will note that there are a lot of stairs, if you are traveling with anyone who has trouble with stairs, and some of the bathtub/showers might be difficult for older people or those with balance issues.

We had a fabulous time in Normandy, and staying in the Chateau made the experience even more immersive vs. staying in a standard hotel setting. It is a part of the history of the region. The owners were very responsive to the issues that came up and were resolved quickly and completely. We had guests from 10 to 90 years old and everyone was comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The grounds and gardens and views from the house were gorgeous.I will probably never travel to Normandy with 13 people again, but if I did, I would be certain to return.

Absolutely loved our stay at Chateau Argouges. We had a three generation family and everyone enjoyed, from cooking French food in the farm style kitchen to reading by the fireplace, exploring the gardens to playing ping pong in the game room, reading about the WWII history to playing chess in the billiards room there was something for everyone. Highly recommend, only wish we could have stayed longer, maybe another time.

I organised a special reunion for Middlesex Nurses - it was 50 years since we started our training and I chose Chateau d'Argourges as it appeared to have everything we needed. The Chateau turned out to be an absolute gem - very comfortable living space and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, gym swimming pool etc. Everyone loved it! There was so much to do in the area - Normandy beaches, Chateaus, gardens, museums, markets - we were never at a loss for something to do. The Beaches were more informative and emotional than we could have imagined. South of Bayeux, Jardin du Castillion was another gem and well worth a visit - created by a couple now well into their 80's and still gardening.I would thoroughly recommend a visit to this beautiful Chateau.
