About this villa rental
Villa Rosa is an elegant and charming 2 bedroom villa set in a property (Quinta) with its own matured gardens and private pool and panoramic views over Vale Formoso Valley snd Tavira .
Vale Formoso means Beautiful!.
There is also a shaded covered terrace (pergola) around the house and the pool area is all covered in the traditional Portuguese Calçada. Square Stone cobblers.
The orange or other exotic trees (such as mangos) avocados , pomegranates, figs , almonds , apple s, prunes , percimons, lemons , mulberry, Etc . etc , are within reach when in season , to make lovely fresh juice whenever you feel like drinking it. The surroundings are natural beauty and the perfect place to get away for seclusion and privacy. To discover the nature or the surroundings, a nice walk to a lovely church, Senhora da Saude, or it is great to walk along Rio Gilão ( or Sequa) if you are a good walker you can discover the unspoiled countryside where you will find small waterfalls and ponds. The local flora its abundant with majestic and sometimes many centuries old such trees as carob or olive trees . Almond trees- they look dry , during the Summer, to blossom with delicate white flowers between January and end of March - or with the very vibrant colors of the orange trees and bougainvilleas everywhere. Enjoy a holiday with comfort and the feel of perfect luxury at this Villa at about 5 /10 minutes drive to Tavira. or 35 minutes to Faro airport, 1,30 h to Seville, 2 hours to Lisbon .

First of all to confirm that the stay I had at Villa Rosa together with my childhood friend the two last weeks of April this year just confirmed the positive impression I had previously had of the house, the surroundings and the charming town of Tavira itself!!
The peace and quietness of the house, the handy proximity to Tavira and the endless possibilities of activities on the Algarve Coast makes Villa Rosa an ideal vacation spot!! It was really one of the best vacations I have had in a long time!!

A lovely Villa located in a picturesque valley just outside Taveria giving you lovely views over the countryside.The garden had an array of Fig, Orange and Pomegranate trees which we took advantage of for freshly squeezed orange juice in the mornings.The villa has all the facilities you need for a relaxing break and a pool to cool you down from the afternoon heat.We found Tavira perfect for bars and restaurants and the beach (via the ferry),which was only a 10 minute drive away using the back road where plenty of parking was also available.

The property is only 7 minutes from old Tavira and is very private on the hills. It has everything you need including a BBQ. We loved having breakfast by the pool and enjoy the beautiful and relaxing views. Dina the host is great and so easy to communicate with.

Overall:
We had a wonderful time at Villa Rosa. The whole family enjoyed the setting and the peacefulness of the area. Everything we needed was already there and catered for. Having our own swimming pool, gardens, barbecue, etc. made the holiday so laid back but also so hard to leave :)
Location:
Villa Rosa is a lovely house located in the countryside yet so close to Tavira. The road to it is almost private so no traffic or noise pollution. It's very peaceful and you can watch the stars when the sky is clear. Having a car is essential but even though the location is very rural, it's only about 8 minutes drive to the nearest supermarket and probably around 15-20 minutes drive to the nearest beach. 45 minutes to the Faro airport.
Outside:
Both the villa and the gardens are well maintained and looked after so the first thing we noticed upon arrival was all the greenery and the variety of trees, shrubs and flowers. The whole estate is surrounded by rocks and trees so you get absolute privacy. There are many orange trees with lots of juicy oranges so you can make your own fresh orange juice any time of the day. While the gardens are huge and open there is also plenty of shade around the house or the swimming pool so you can sit outside and enjoy your food or a glass of wine any time of the day. The swimming pool was nice and clean so both ourselves and the children enjoyed it. The outdoor barbecue was also a huge plus.
Inside:
The villa is beautifully decorated throughout and it has this real warm 'homely' feel to it. Everything was nice and clean when we arrived. It has all the appliances (and more) we needed to make our life easier and our stay more comfortable. The bedrooms and the living room are air-conditioned and the windows have mosquito nets. There is a TV with lots of channels which we barely used but the having the WiFi internet was definitely a plus. All the essentials (towels, linen, washing up liquid, toilet roll, soap, etc.) were provided so nothing to worry about on the first day. The villa is also equipped with a house alarm and remote-controlled gate for extra security.
