About this house rental
The house dates from the 13th century and is located in the village square of Castelsagrat, an authentic medieval bastide in southern France. This magnificent holiday home has been completely renovated, tastefully and comfortably furnished and suitable for up to 5 persons.
From under your own 'arcades' (medieval arches) experience the typical French village life. Villagers get a baguette from our 'boulanger', a delicious French cheese at the 'épicerie' and the local farmers exchange the latest news on the village square. Across the square the glasses and cutlery tinkle on the delightful cool terrace of the village restaurant.
In the courtyard surrounded by medieval walls, the 'cour', you will enjoy the southern French sun and shade in complete privacy. You can relax in the lounge area, barbecue, or drink a delicious glass of local wine. In the evening you will enjoy the beautiful lights and the stars. If you prefer watching the typical French village life you can also sit down under your own arcades at the front of the house.
La Maison de Monsieur Calbet is located in a beautiful area which is also known as the Tuscany of France, which in spring and summer is packed with lively antique markets and bustling night markets.

Très belle vielle maison, très bien équipé et agencée, fraîche même par grosse chaleur, sa petite cour plaisante pour y manger et se reposer, voire se baigner dans la piscine, un peu fraîche.

The property was as described, clean, well maintained and with full facilities. La Maison has been renovated sympathetically, but with modern touches in the bathrooms and kitchen.One of the reasons we chose La Maison was because it had a pool, unfortunately the weather did not allow us to use it as much as we may have liked. We enjoyed aperos and eating outdoors, cooking on the barbeque. Philip & Natascha welcomed us on arrival and explained everything and were around during our stay if and when needed - which we did on one occasion and were helped out of a sticky problem - keys locked in car!Good base for visiting Lozerte, Moissac, Cahors, Valence dAgen and Auvillar. Auberge at Bardigues can be well recommended.Boulangerie in one corner of the square, Tabac/small epicerie another corner and small restaurant on another side of the square.Beautiful area of Tarn et Garonne and have no hesitation in recommending this spot as a base for visiting this area.
