The ‘mas’ is a family house (160m²). It is situated in quiet surroundings, 800m from downtown, about 200 m from the famous watershed. Ideally foreseen for the comfort of 8 to 10 people , the house has 4 bedrooms , 4 bathrooms, 4 toilets , a kitchen (micro wave, LV, a living room (TV, convertible couch),a laundry room ,a terrace with a barbecue, a garden and direct access to the Sorgue. There were only 3 of us so we each had our own space. It was very hot that week so we ventured out in the morning, ate lunch out and came back to enjoy the pool. It was too hot to walk into town but we did manage to find parking places and explore the shops. There are several good supermarkets, boulangeries and pâtisseries nearby. We enjoyed a meal at Namaste, a restaurant at the end of the road. The person who met us at the house didn’t speak much English but we managed to communicate. The owner was very responsive and helpful with our questions. Highly recommend!

Perfect The house is not new, but full of charme and peacefulness, we all (grandparents, parents, kids and dog) enjoyed it very much! Many thanks Genevieve for letting us stay in your place!

The house is super well equipped and has lots of space and opportunities inside and outside. You can walk into town (20min) or take the bike. Just follow the river. Three restaurants in close walking distance if you want to eat out. We had four small kids 0-4 with us and they could play all around the house while we felt very safe with it. Once the gate is closed you are in your own little paradise with zero disturbance. Two big supermarkets are 5min by car or 10min by bike. A great Boulangerie is in about 1km distance. We had 10 really good days here and would always come back.

We loved every moment of our stay in this wonderful vacation home. The beautiful river next door with fish, dragonflies, and birds made it even better. We look forward to come back in the coming years.

Before the actual start of our holiday I had a pleasant contact with the owner. Our actual stay was also very pleasant, the house is very luxurious and fully equipped. We liked the fact that every bedroom had a bathroom with a toilet. A supermarket with chargers for electric vehicles is at walking distance. It is also a great base for places like Gordes, Roussillon, Mount Ventoux and Avignon.

We had a great stay in Genevieve’s place. It was perfect size for the seven of us. We really enjoyed having the extra bathrooms. The river is beautiful, and we enjoyed having a kayak light over briefly to see the cold We did lots of day trips, but we could’ve just stayed in the village and enjoyed our trip just as much probably as there are good markets twice a week, plus lots of interesting stores and restaurants and cafes

Overall, we had a nice stay at La Gardiole. We enjoyed the serene location, the spacious layout, the completely secure and private parking, the well-maintained (unheated?) pool and lounge area, taking the canoe on the river, and that the house was well-equipped. We appreciated that there were gates protecting the pool area and the river access; the shutters kept the house cool and the retractable screens on some rooms helped keep bugs out. We had issues with checking in, as the managers did not want to give us the fifth bedroom (with the fourth “real” bed) and fourth bathroom; we had to show photos for them to reluctantly give us access, as it is upstairs on the exterior of the house. It would also be helpful if they had a pre-written sheet in other languages explaining what they were telling us for check-in/-out, as we struggled and had to use internet translations. We also thought the house could use a thorough dusting and mopping. We also found the clutter of cleaning products stored on the kitchen patio and the entry windowsill detracted from the overall charm of this lovely house. Genevieve was very communicative and a pleasure to work with. We appreciated her informative emails prior to arrival. The property is perfectly located with a car to take day trips around the region and a welcome haven to come home to at the end of the day.

The property was excellent in a wonderful location. So peaceful by the river, we couldn't have wished for more. The pool was delightful and we were so lucky with the weather we made full use of it. The villa was as described and well equipped with crockery and cutlery and also very clean. Quite disappointed with the standard and quality of the bed linen, for which we had to pay extra on top of the rental charge. Was also surprised that the caretakers seemed to expect us to clean before we left having paid €150.00 for cleaning. It was also difficult that the caretakers spoke no English. As people from all over the world would book the property, English being a more international language would likely to be understood by more people. Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone. The owner: Genevieve was very helpful and easy to deal with. She responded to any questions very promptly. There were six of us in our group and we all had a great time in a little piece of heaven.

We've had a lovely stay at La Gaediole. Location is Idyllic, peaceful and within easy reach of a large supermarket. The town centre is a good 30 min walk away. We'd stay at the house again, it was very well equipped and nicely maintained.

The whole family loved this idyllic spot. The river is beautiful and the wildlife delighted us all. Our grandchildren loved to swim in the Sorgue and kayak down the river. The house is comfy and welcoming and the pool divine. It was voted by all as our favourite holiday house. Thank you so much.

We couldn't have been more pleased with this lovely house and town. There were 10 of us, including small children, teenagers, and six adults. The house is very family friendly including a high chair, crib, and completely fenced off swimming pool and river. The beautiful location beside the river with an open air dining area added to the ambiance. The house is more spacious than it appears in the photos. With the railway service we were able to get by without renting a car and the bicycle in the garage made for an easy way to pedal to town for the morning croissants. Geneviene was very helpful and easy to work with. We loved our visit.

Five of us stayed at Genevieve's beautiful vacation home for two weeks early May in absolutely gorgeous weather. We couldn't have been more lucky to have found the rental on vrbo. The house was spacious and very well equipped and maintained. It certainly was much nicer than what's shown on the website. We each had our own space to relax. It was beautifully situated along the River Sorgue. We walked each day into the village along the tranquil Passage des Eaux. For food purchases, we visited the Super U within 20 minutes walk and for petit dejeuner we found an excellent bakery - Convert Boulangerie - on the main road pass the supermarket. The only drawback is the difficulty communicating with the housekeepers without full language capability. It would have been much easier if Genevieve could provide a fluent English speaking person to open up the house for us English speakers. It would also have been more convenient if the housekeepers could provide more than one set of towels so we could use the second set for the pool which was clean and a welcome end to a day's tripping. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay and we recommend it especially to families with children.

"This property is in the most picturesque location alongside the Sorgue and is also a very easy stroll into town. It is very well equipped and maintained and the addition of the swimming pool makes it very inviting indeed. There are a few good restaurants within a couple of minutes walk or you can easily walk on into the main town. The markets in L''isle sur la Sorgue are amazing and there are many other wonderful towns and attractions close by to explore. Our 4 year old son loved feeding the ducks, spotting fish in the Sorgue, playing Petanque, swimming in the pool and spotting the Coypu that live across the river. We could very happily have stayed much longer and would not hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends. From our first enquiry with Genevieve to when we left everything went very smoothly. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday."

"La Gardiole is the perfect getaway. Great accomodation, very private rooms all en suite, fantastic pool, fishing on the river at the end of the garden, restaurants and bar 5 minutes walk away- what else could anyone want? The villa management do not speak much English and there were so many keys that it would have been nice if they were labelled up. Apart from this it was perfect in every way and I would recommend it without hesitation."

"We had a wonderful time. Genevieve was very responsive to all my questions before arrival and the caretakers are friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed using the canoe on the river and the pool was perfect after returning home from each day's excursion. The market in Isle Sur La Sorgue was phenomenal. All in all a perfect vacation with our two young boys and our friend. Plenty of space inside and the outdoor areas are beautifully maintained with flowers."

Wir waren Ende September in diesem Haus zu Gast. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr gut: Mit dem Auto bzw. Fahhrad nur wenige Minuten bis zum wirklich bezaubernden Stadtkern. Auch ein großer Supermarkt ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Super Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Provence, Avignon und Umgebung. Das Haus ist gut und vollständig ausgestattet - sogar ein Boot ist vorhanden mit dem man auf dem direkt ans Grundstück grenzenden Fluß paddeln kann. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Ein sehr schönes Haus mit einem sehr schönen Grundstück, direkt am Fluss. Herrliche Ruhe. Die Küche ist sehr klein, dafür aber mit diesem Blick auf das Wasser, die Enten, Vögel und Gänse. Einen Biber haben wir auch gesehen. Also toll. Die Liegeauflagen für die Sonnenliegen könnten wirklich mal erneuert werden, auch die Sitzkissen für die Terrasse. Leider war das Wetter so kalt, dass wir den schönen Pool nicht nutzen konnten. Sehr schade. Aber: Wir würden dieses Haus immer wieder weiter empfehlen. Vielen Dank!

Situation idéale en bord de Sorgue, à proximité du centre et son animation tout en demeurant au calme. La fraîcheur de la terrasse ombragée et la piscine sont bienvenues par temps caniculaire. Vastes chambres claires, bien agencées et disposant de sanitaires individuels. Nous avons passé de belles journées dans cette propriété soignée qui a une âme.

Wir (4 Erwachsene, 5 Kinder zwischen 6 und 10 Jahren) haben in L´isle-sur-la-Sorgue eine wunderschöne Ferienwoche verbracht. Das Haus liegt direkt an einem Seitenarm der Sorgue mit glasklarem (aber auch 13 Grad kaltem) Wasser. Zum Haus gehört auch die Vermietung eines Paddelboots, mit denen wir viele Ausflüge auf dem Fluss unternommen haben, etwas, was vor allem für die Kinder großartig war. Unterwegs fanden wir Bäume, von denen in den Fluss gesprungen werden konnte und es wurde auch einmal die Angel ausgepackt. Die zum Fluss gelegene Terrasse erlaubte viele schöne Stunden. Das Besondere ist, dass man wirklich nur ins Grüne schaut, da das gegenüberliegende Ufer komplett zugewachsen ist. Auch der sehr schöne und große Pool war ein großes Plus des Hauses. Die Küche war zweckmäßig und großzügig eingerichtet. In das Stadtzentrum sind es zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten, mit dem Auto 5 Minuten. Es gibt zwei Supermärkte in ebenfalls 5 Minuten Entfernung. Wir können das Haus in jedem Fall nur empfehlen.

This holiday home is absolutely wonderful! We got everything we had hoped for and more: beautiful nature, proximity to the river, lots of wildlife to watch, a private canoe we could use and have used. The grounds are beautifully groomed with plants and trees, the house and rooms are spacious, clean and a cool relieve on a hot day. Everything is well thought through and well equipped. The swimmingpool is in top condition. The house and grounds offer perfect privacy for the skinny dippers. Eating breakfast in the kitchen (the mornings were rather cold) and looking onto the river was delightful. We will contact the owners shortly to probably book again for next year.

villa située dans un environnement exceptionnel que l'on ne devine pas lorsque l'on est à l'extérieur de la propriété mais dès que l'on franchit le protail le charme opère. la Sorgue nous offre son côté très nature avec ses canards et ses oies. nous n'avons pas utilisé la piscine car nous étions en plein hiver mais nous avons pu quand même passer d'agréables moments à l'extérieur. le centre ville est facilement accessible à pied par un chemin longeant un bras de la Sorgue. l'équipement est conforme à ce qui est annoncé avec une mention spéciale pour la cuisine car même si on n'est pas en vacances pour cuisiner, il est très agréable de trouver l'ustensile improbable mais indispensable pour la recette que l'on voulait préparer.... je recommande tout à fait cette location. nous étions dix adultes réunis pour fêter l'anniversaire surprise de mon mari. séjour du 17 au 25 décembre 2016.
