About this cottage rental
Renovated cottage of 200 sqm, built at the beginning of the medieval part of the settlement of Kaparia, overlooking the valley of Korthi in southeastern Andros. From there you can enjoy the view of the natural terrain and the traditional village, as has remained unchanged over time.
The house is suitable for those who want relaxing family holidays in an environment that has preserved its traditional character.
Five km away there is the quiet coastal village of Korthi where you will find beautiful beaches and taverns with fresh fish and many other local products of high quality, there is also a (wind) surfing club , since the place is ideal for this sport..
The house has two floors. The top floor has been built at the beginning of last century, while the lower floor is of the 17th century. The main part of the ground floor consists of a living room and two bedrooms. If you stay in this area, you can either sleep in the room with the old wine press, or in the other beneath the imposing stone arch. At the ground floor there is also a further bedroom, bathroom and courtyard where you can drink your coffee. The upper floor has a bedroom, large kitchen, living room, large dining room and a bathroom. There you will also find two spacious terraces with wonderful view of the valley of Korthi and one backyard barbecue area. You will find every kind of comfort that will make your stay not only enjoyable but also memorable .

Parfait pour un séjour au calme, dans une belle et grande maison, très bien équipée . Nous avons passé beaucoup de temps à admirer la vue depuis les terrasses, et avions parfois du mal à quitter là maison!
Un accueil très chaleureux de la part des propriétaires adorables.

We arrived late in the evening to be greeted by Nikos' mother who was lovely and very welcoming. She had unexpectedly cooked as a lovely traditional Greek meal on arrival which was very much appreciated. She spoke good English and was able to give us a tour of the villa explaining the history of it and where to find necessity's.
The villa as explained is approx. 7 km from the nearest town, beach and local restaurants. It was just what we wanted, away from it all but near to amenities. A car is essential to get around and having hired one from Tasos with the assistance of Nikos (which was very much appreciated) we visited many places around the Island.
A great base and fantastic value for money. Many thanks to Nikos and his mother. We had a great time and would recommend to others.
