This semi-detached cottage is in the village of Staithes near to Whitby and can sleep four people in three bedrooms.
Post Box Cottage is a lovely semi-detached cottage situated in the village of Staithes just ten miles from Whitby in Yorkshire. The cottage can sleep four people in one double bedroom and two single as well as a family bathroom and separate cloakroom. Also in the cottage is open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a private patio with furniture. Post Box Cottage is a delightful cottage from which to explore this lovely part of the country.
Amenities: Electric central heating with electric stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, TV with FreeSat, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for 2 cars. Private front patio with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 5 mins walk, pub 1 min walk. Beach 10 mins walk. Note: Due to rural location, WiFi can be slow.
Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
Town: The charming and sleepy seaside village of Staithes, with its cobbled streets and back alleys, is something of an artist’s dream. Its pretty houses and cottages are clustered around the old harbour and surrounded by high craggy cliffs on three sides, with a sheltered sandy beach set amongst the rocky coastline. The village can claim connections with Captain Cook who was apprenticed to a draper near the harbour.
