Lovely rustic house in tranquil countryside. The owner is very helpful and on hand for any queries. Loads to do in the vicinity. Safari park 5 mins away, fromagerie, loads of cider and calavados places. We visited Rouen, Bayeux and did a day trip to Paris on the train from Lisiuex.Wifi access and the pool are about a mile away at the owners house but it meant a digital detox for the kids which is only good! and there's sufficient phone signal for calls and messaging at the house. Hares, foxes and loads of other wildlife visit the garden and surrounding fields

The good: running hot water, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Clean sheets and towels. Swimming pool just up the lane and warm. Area beautiful, with beaches, swimming lake, towns and cities. Isabelle, the host, is friendly and her dog is lovely. The bad: 3 days before arriving told there was no internet. The area 4G signal is poor so struggle for hotspots. No sign of any modem or wi-fi router. Was there ever internet in the house? One of the bedrooms on the ground floor. All beds are single and pushed together with single duvets. Shower is reached through a low (4ft) entrance in the ground floor bedroom. I cracked my head twice ducking in and out. Cupboards under the kitchen sink full of mould so no space for storage. Bosch oven but no trays/tins/racks so sat unloved for two weeks. Would have been nice to grill some fish or burgers, but wasn’t possible. The BBQ grill rack was filthy and caked in fat from previous use. Bought a new grill rack, but hornet’s nest just by the front door so no eating outside. Wasp’s nest above the window of the bedroom. Couldn’t open windows all holiday. Middle bedroom cupboard was a blanket covering a shaft that smelled of damp. Bathroom has open socket next to the sink. Light above the mirror has exposed cables curling out of the fitting. Swimming pool shared with guests at three other houses so can be crowded. A good holiday but paying £2,000+ I expect a bit better from accommodation. Looks lovely and rustic in pictures, but needs work.

A really lovely little house in a peaceful setting. Well furnished and comfortable. Owner super friendly and helpful. Private heated pool 1 mile at owner's house much appreciated by youngsters, Good location, Lisieux 15 minutes away and wonderful zoo five minutes. A bit of a drive to the coast at Douville/Trouville but worth it. Paris 2 hours by train from Lisieux quite expensive though, No shops in St Philbert des Champs good shops in Lisieux (market day Saturday) and other /local villages. A great destination for a family holiday or just a quiet break.

Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans la maison de Léopold. Une maison de caractère avec un grand jardin qu'ont beaucoup apprécié nos enfants. Propriétaire très sympa et disponible nous a conseillé des visites dans le secteurs (parc zoologique de Cerza à 5mn et plage à 30mn en voiture). Satisfaction totale et nous reviendrons !

J'ai passé une semaine avec mes enfants et petits enfants dont un bébé de 3 mois une semaine dans une maison très confortable .Nous avons été accueillis par une propriétaire très sympathique. je dois néanmoins faire deux reproches au niveau de la propreté des oreillers et des couettes qui sont loin d'être impeccables . De plus, pendant notre séjour, nous avons eu la visite de souris et je dois dire avec un bébé entre 'autres , ce n'est pas top.

Nous avons été ravi de notre choix : qualité de l'accueil , très calme , reposant , décoration attentive . La taille des chambres est parfaite , le linge de maison fourni , l’équipement de la cuisine est suffisant. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir lors de prochaines vacances en Normandie

Maar vooral de hartelijke ontvangst en goede zorgen van de eigenaar maken dat wij dit huis een super beoordeling geven! De locatie is zeer de moeite waard en leent zich prima om diverse uitstapjes in de omgeving te maken."

"A l''occasion de l''anniversaire de ma compagne, j''ai passé chez Mme de R. un très agréable séjour avec ma famille et des amis. Son hospitalité est exemplaire et la décoration cosy et familiale de sa demeure normande très confortable et très bien équipée pour 6 personnes a été fort appréciée. Je ne peux que recommander ce propriétaire et ce cadre de vie pour se détendre paisiblement au contact des chevaux, partager de bons moments et découvrir la région. Grâce à tout cela, cet anniversaire restera dans nos mémoires comme une belle réussite!!! Un grand merci encore à Isabelle de la part de la Famille Léone."
