Rallou House Hydra

Rallou House is a fabulous property with carefully curated rooms reflecting a unique and historic style. It is very spacious with sea views from most of the dual aspect windows. The two main terraces though are the most standout feature with sweeping views across the island. Breathtaking.

We had a wonderful stay and absolutely loved this beautiful house. The architecture is full of character and perfectly complements the charm of Hydra. The views over the harbour from the living room are simply spectacular and made spending time in the house a real pleasure. Sofia was an exceptional host—she welcomed us personally on arrival, arranged mules for our luggage, and was always quick to respond to any questions or requests. Her warmth and attention to detail made us feel genuinely looked after throughout our stay.

There were only two minor points that future guests may find helpful to know. The house is in a lovely elevated position, but the walk is quite steep and can feel tiring if you plan to go back and forth several times a day. Also, the main living area does not have air conditioning, so it can become quite warm during the summer days. Neither of these affected our enjoyment of the property, but they are worth keeping in mind.

The size and layout of the house was incredible. The views were unsurpassed, probably the best possible views in Hydra. The trade off is that you have to walk down steps for 20 mins to get to the Port! The terraces were fantastic and it was hard to leave. Sophia will arrange mules to carry luggage for you.

Nothing, except the climb down and up. But worth it for the views. And it helped work off dinner!

A perfect place for a peaceful vacation. Best sunset view from both - living room and terrace. We were on vacation with my best friend and this place was perfect for us - very calm, clean, nice equipped kitchen, attentive and warm welcoming hosts. We also really enjoyed the design of the apartment – both local and very delicate, stylish with some charming details. If you’re looking for a place for a peaceful stay this house is a perfect option.
