I love the location of the hotel. It's very close to the Liberdade-Japão Square.

I didn't like that the neighborhood have some beggars.

The location is unbeatable if you're going for the sole reason of exploring Liberdade. Gustavo from reception was very helpful. Breakfast was very good with enough variety. The room was spacious, with a big TV. In the room we stayed in there were two showers facing each other so my partner and I could shower together with plenty of hot water!

The smell of cigarettes inside the room was awful (partner and I are non-smokers). The constant moaning coming from other rooms at random times was bothersome. The door to the bathroom is transparent, so taking a dump becomes the ultimate test of intimacy. Other receptionists weren't so welcoming. I asked them to clean the room and left for a stroll, when I came back 6 hours later they still didn't have cleaned it. I had to ask again.

The staff were amazing, ready to help, pleasant, and very nice overall. Always seemed in a good mood and super helpful, they recommended great things for us to do and places to eat at. The eggs at breakfast were incredible. The decoration in the room was interesting, with nice blue lights.

Now, the hotel itself was a disappointment. We didn't get a hand towel, and after we had asked for one, we understood there was no place to hang it. The shower takes ages to warm up, like you have to open and let it run for 3-5 min before it gets hot. We thought it was broken, but it was just the way it is. The shampoo and soap are also very tiny and not of great quality; the soap had a weird smell, too. No conditioner. The sheets were stained and old, everything had a bit of a weird smell, like not freshly washed, idk how to explain that in a different way. No vegan options on the menu, very simple breakfast. The bathroom light was super weak. It was also really noisy, as if there were no closed doors or windows. Our room faced the street, so lots of traffic noise, and we could also hear everyone passing by our room and talking, as if they were in the room.
