Shine Wolyeong

Sugi’s house has everything you need: a comfy bed, clean bathroom, well appointed kitchen and lovely decorations. The house is Korean style which we enjoyed so much after staying in several hotels on our bicycle trip from Seoul to Busan. Sugi is a very caring host who answered all our questions patiently and even helped us find a good acupuncturist to help relieve my husband’s shoulder pain. The restaurants Sugi recommended were all excellent. The kimchi stew we had nearby was delicious, the dumplings excellent and the jjamppong across the street a treat. We did not mind the location slightly out of town as we had our bicycles and could get everywhere easily. Make sure to see the wooden bridge at night!

The guest house is a wonderful quiet place and very traditional. Mrs Sugi was fantastic and helpful in every way. We really enjoyed the stay and recommend it warmly!!!

Sugi was an excellent host. She made our stay so comfortable and her hanok is beautiful. It was like staying at a friend's house. We had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. She gave us perfect information about how to get around using the buses including times and route numbers. She has a map to show how to get around and suggestions on different attractions to visit based on the bus schedules. I recommend staying here to get a true hanok experience with excellent hospitality.

The location is a bit away from the main town and its not walkable but its easy to get to via bus.
