About this house rental
Built on the last dune to Haarlem we have a light, spacious, loft type family house.
We have 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a big kitchen, playroom and a big garden to play in.
We live on 5 min distance from the dunes and 15 min cycle ride from the beach or Haarlem. Best of both worlds. Also we live close to the trainstation which makes that the centre of Amsterdam is just 25 minutes away. Our house is situated right behind the Overveen shopping street, where you find a supermarket, biological supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, icecream parlour and more. You can borrow our bikes and live like a local during your stay.

This is an ideal location for those who want to explore Amsterdam and further afield but do not want to bring a car. With the local train station less than 5 minutes away, you can easily reach Haarlem, Amsterdam and many other places without needing a car. And the shops in Overveen are very handy too.The house itself is really spacious with a lovely garden. We were a family group of 5 adults and it was perfect with enough space for everyone. Everything we could have needed was provided.The host was really friendly and communicative.The only thing to note is that stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are very steep and narrow. This wasn't a big problem but it could be an issue for some.

We had a lovely stay over Christmas, the house worked well for us with bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. It’s very well located right by Overveen train and near the local high street which has a great butchers and grocery store. The kitchen is well stocked with pots & pans etc so we were able to host our Christmas dinner. The only oversight we had was the ability to cycle - the local cycle rental was closed over the holidays and the hosts cycles are not available for guests. Be aware of stairs too, quite steep but we were able to arrange bedrooms accordingly. Thank you for a lovely stay. Great communication with the host & it made for a lovely holiday.

We had a fantastic time in this gorgeous family home in Overveen. Not only is it beautifully designed, but it really is perfect for a family. The location is both sweet & practical. The town is lovely and train station is so close by. The owners were thoughtful; very communicative and helpful. We brought our son in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating. And we loved their sweet cat Fulls too. Would highly recommend this property to anyone.
