About this house rental
Beach Loving is a two-level house. The main level is bright and open, with 3 bedrooms and two full baths, a sunroom with new tile floor, an updated kitchen (new granite counter tops, gas stove and dishwasher), a dining table that sits up to eight people, and a 42-inch color TV with blu-ray player. The screened-in porch has a double glider rocker, a cafe table with chairs, and three outdoor wicker chairs to relax on. The house sits on a larger lot with a wide lawn that kids can play ball on, throw the frisbee, etc. It's attractively decorated in a fun beach themed style. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have queen beds, and bedroom 1 has a wall-mounted TV; bedroom 3 has a twin trundle bed with memory foam mattresses. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, French press and hand and electric coffee grinders, blender, microwave, a good knife set, and all kitchen tools.
Linens are provided for stays of 4 or more nights, and cleaning is included in the rental charge.
For off-season rentals (September - May) we have a 2-night minimum stay; renters pay the linens fee if staying fewer than 4 nights.
Downstairs:
Downstairs (has its own separate exterior entrance) has a queen bed and a pull-out futon, a full bath with a washer/dryer, a kitchenette with a sink, dorm refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, and dishes and utensils. There is also a flat screen TV. There is a gas grill for the use of guests, as well as beach chairs, boogie boards and two small beach carts, and a corn hole game set. We also have a beach umbrella that you can use. There is an outside shower with attached changing area with hot and cold water, as well as a hose for rinsing off feet.

Overall, we had a great stay, despite a few challenges with the house.
The pluses: great location, close to the beach and an easy walk ( paved, you can bring a cart, semi shaded). The beach was wonderful, clean and not crowded, close to a fishing pier and small local restaurant on the pier. The house was extremely well stocked. We seriously had everything we needed in the kitchen. Having access to a French press and coffee grinder was wonderful, as we like good coffee. The living room and dining room areas are beautifully decorated and cozy. Sun room and screened porch were great. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower. It shows that the owners put a lot of care into the decor. The house is also close to grocery stores and restaurants and a coffee shop.
The challenges: some parts of the house could use a refresher/ deep cleaning. There were a few issues with the cleanliness of some areas, and the owners were responsive to our concerns. Also, guests are expected to make all the beds upon arrival with provided sheets. That was a surprise to us (and the sheets are kinda cheap). The downstairs apartment is also quite humid. I know we are on the beach and it's hot, but it was not comfortable and we had to reconfigure our sleeping arrangements. If you are relying on the downstairs part, this is important to consider. The rest of the house was very cool and comfortable however.
And yes, as someone else has said, a few bathroom rugs would have been nice. With a few additional touches and updates, this house would be perfect.
